I agree with you. To add more frustration, when I add a Reference to the project, it takes for ever:mad: for no reason. Hope this will be fixed.

I agree with you, because i had hardware issue before and it has been fixed. Maybe there's more, or not fixed properly...

I have 2 ORIGINAL version of Windows Vista 32bit. 1st, from TechNet web site so it's an iso image. 2ed, from the company it self. I tested both and the 2ed worked for me for almost 6 month...

OK, i had vista worked fine for almost 3 months (yeaaaaah) and then for some reason (as usual) it stopped getting update, and some programs stopped working properly!!!!!!!.:mad: After search online for almost 3 weeks for a solution, i got nothing.:mad: The only way to fix this is format and install windows again. :( I'm trying to do that for 4 days (more than 20 times) but with no luck. Every time i install it i wouldn't be able to get all feature under (Turn on and off Windows feature). From my experience I know if i'm not able to get these feature, so forget it don't wast time and install windows again. THERE IS NO SOLUTION FOR THAT PROBLEM AT ALL. even Windows creator don't know how to fix it. So the question, is do i need vista as .NET developer or, go back to XP, switch to Mac/Linux or what????:confused:

I’ve been told “to be a good developer you have to know well OOP (Object Oriented Programming) in depth” right?:confused: I searched for a good and an easy book to understand and talk more about “why”, it wasn’t easy. On the other hand some people recommend this book [Object-Oriented Software Construction (2nd Edition)]. What do you think? Or just enough to go through Wikipedia and other on line resources? Or just read C# documentation and I will get the “why”, “how” and “when” of using OOP in my code???

Hello guys, I believe user group are very important for all developers and designers. We all gather to talk, share knowledge, show off our experiences with new stuff and build up good relationships which in many cases leads into some people get hired through this user group. I have short experience with a local group but I'm so not so happy with it. The last time we had big event/meeting gathered many developers it was in March. Since that nothing happened. :( I heard about a user group in Texas. They have monthly meeting, besides many events they do in between. They care about the relationship among developer and designer and build up strong and good community, besides they provide good food (BBQ), give a way books, software and more. :-D I wish mine dose the same. :( What about yours?

What do you think our world without: Microsoft, Google and Apple!!???:confused: From any respective you can think about it..

But didn't you get your MVP because you are in the first place have certificate? Or you can be a MVP without any certification?, if so, how did you do that?!!?

Thanks everyone for your responses I appreciated. :) I do believe now I am on my way to be developer. I wanted to know what the experiences say. Thank you. ;) I am learning now from online resources and those short videos from www.asp.net. However, I do still have another question. I am planning to take MCAD certificate and then MCSD and move on to those new certifications like MCPD, MCTS. In addition, want to squeeze my time, push my ability, and accomplish a lot in short time. For sure, I am dreaming I will have all those certifications in a year, but I will start and i have a plane and dream and an aim want to archive. The question: Is self-study will help me in this situation or should I take a course or more to help me at the beginning? :confused: I know some of you might say, it depends, it different from each person which I do know, but I do not mind to know what do you think? Hello everyone, This is first time for me to post in Code Project. The reason make me post now is a critical situation I am in. the situation in few words is “Am I able to find job in the market if I start now?” More details about that, I’m over 27 years old, I’m freelancer web design and know a lot about .NET “which is me goal now as developer”. I have been trying to study “self-study” .NET for a year and more but I cannot accomplish anything, I feel and see I am still in the same first step, did not move forward. I am trying to take a serious situation now based on this question “Is the job market as developer will support me now while I’m still new without any experiences? Alternatively, should I forget about it and start find any other job not related to computer?” The reason making me late to more any more steps forward is I am self-study, which means I am taking everything easy, even I am easy on myself too. So what is the best, attend to some collage, spend money, start from the beginning, or save money, and be self-study? I have been searching everywhere for any company who needs new developer so they start with them even free just for learning sake., but I can’t find any company or even software houses. Even worse, when I mentioned the idea to some developers’ user group leads and member in Toronto. About gathering those new developer and start show, them the first start, by providing them ideas about how to fit, work within teamwork and learn new developer skills. They refused because it is not easy and none of them is free to do so. I need to decide soon because there is people are depending on my income. Is the market for me as new developer will be my friend and help me build my future as professional developer? On the other hand, the market will not help me, so I start new career away from computer. Thanks You! Sindbad
