Although I am not sure how you would have to go about it, you could for example program your app to only use the default printer and/or devise a method to check whether a printer is virtual or real. If it is real allow printing, and if not then disallow. My advice is free, and you may get what you paid for.

What does the query look like that's doing the INSERT?? What does the code look like that sets this up and executes the query?? What is the column type of the table that the RTF is going into?? Use the PrintPreviewdialog if you want to print something not allready on the screen, otherwise use the printform control, you can download it from microsoft. It's in the vb.net powerpack.

here is how I would do it (wich resembles what christian said I think) on installing the programme --> store the current date everytime the programme starts --> store the current date in second location now on startup off you'r programme you do 2 checks: first check to see if the current date is before the date stored in location 2 if so --> user had turend clock back and trial ends if not --> do check 2 check to see if the current date isn't 15 days after the date stored at location 1 if so --> trial has ended if not --> store date in location 2 and start programme to keep the user from hacking you'r programme (or at least make it harder too do) you might want to encrypt the date's hope this helps Credit to Christian who gave me this idea and I think this was also what he meant in his reply If my help was helpfull let me know, if not let me know why. That's the normal behavior of the DGV. If you hold down the Ctrl key, pressing Up or Down will put the focus on the first or last row of the DGV. You can change it and replace the functionality if you want by handling the DGV's KeyDown and KeyUp events and supplying the code to do whatever it is you want to do. I highly suggest reading up on the KeyDown, KeyUp, and KeyPress events, so you understand what you need to handle and what you need to do to tell your app that your code has handled keypresses and that the control should NOT try to handle them. Yah, I hate this problem and I hope you get a better solution than mine. I created an additional checkbox below the gridview called checkselected. It has 2 operations: if there are no rows selected then it forces EVERY row to have its checked value. If there is 1 or more selected rows it forces the seleced rows to have the checkbox value. Because it's not a RichTextBox. The RTB you're using is a GENERIC RTB box that is not optimized for ANY particular use. In your case, you'll have to implement your own code for representing the text and searching it. You cannot rely on the RTB to maintain the text string your searching and do the searching for you.
