A circuit breaker is a coupe-circuit (masculine: (the) le coupe-circuit, (a) un coupe-circuit, (my) mon coupe-circuit... In context, to trip is déclencher (verb) déclenchement (noun) My circuit breaker is tripping off, mon coupe-circuit se déclenche. In French, you cannot abbreviate "coupe" the way you could "breaker" in English. Hope this helps

What does it mean to be a member of Mensa?Being a member means you convinced your country's Mensa Association that you have an IQ in the top 2% of the population. IQ tests do not measure intelligence, social skills, congeniality, culture, manners or any other aspect of personality that are actually useful to the person and society. They measure the capacity to perform on IQ tests... I am sure a lot of members of Mensa are actively engaged in their various programmes and charities. They are probably the salt of the earth and all that. The card-waving ones, I play poker with when I am low on beer money. They get an expensive but valuable lesson in Probabilities and Applied Psychology.
