I would add to what been mention here, to have sales skills, which can help with the 'make a leaving' part. I know plenty of very skillful writers which can't make a leaving and a bunch of mediocre ones who can. The difference focusing mainly of how well they sold themselves and networked with people. So when their skills were needed people knew to contact them

I think they should. Yes it was one comment, and yes he apologized...but let's face it no one believe the apology. He said what he thought (without really thinking it). Organization with so much female in an industry that as it is hard on woman should not have someone like that heading it.
