The package that I suggested (PHPBB) is the best forum message board. use it. IMP: Try to change the template it is using. Free templates are available for PHPBB from internet. you can smartly finish your project work and also learn a lot about the forums.

the html - should be - and the javascript should also generate the controls with name="increment[]". If this fails then try to put the index for the control through javascript i.e. increment[0] for the first one, increment[1] for the second one .... This will result in an array of values which you can handle through the PHP script after form post.

Store the files outside the site document root (write-protected). Your code should check for logged in user. You may code a script for fetching the contents of the downloadable file and also storing it in a file on the fly and render it. This Should solve the purpose.

First of all wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year!! Hoping that your image creation is working well, just assign the value shown in the Captcha into a session variable. This session variable should be reset or assigned new value each time the script is executed. That's all my suggession. If you want a script to generate the Captcha then, is as if doing the full job.
