Pirated!? what do you work for mic$$ or one of the secondhand guys? There's nothing pirated here. The scum on the internet cost me my first brand-new comp. So I'm broke, so I buy a cheap secondhand Dell, the scum attack again, this time I save my comp but I still need a new os. Don't even mention Linux. Now I know this disk exists, it's a bios something, Chinese? I bought the Dell reinstallation disk legally. It's meant for the comp it came from but those comps are probably dead, so they sell them. Like i said, they only work once.

I bought secondhand Dell Latitude it came with XP Pro installed. So I get a nasty bug just by opening a infected web page. Needed to reinstall. So call him up and he says bring it down. I figured he would just reinstall his private company disk, which he did, but this time he charged me. So sure as shit mo's later I get another bug. So i say, he's just going to charge me again. So I see these reinstallation disks from Dell. I get one, put it in and it don't boot. When I was at the shop the first time I seen him using some Chinese disk 'first' to set the bios, I presume. Is this a money maker for these guys? Sell the comps cheap but lock/bypass the bios so them and only them can reinstall. I know these Dell disks you buy cheap online can only be used once, but the one I got was unopened and still doesn't boot, and yes I did set it to boot from cd. So what Chinese disk was that and how do I get one?

How can these guy's do this? I just spent the last hour trying to figure out why google chrome was inside firefox. Come on, google steals android name, gets sued, firefox adds chrome to it's browser? Or was it always firefox-chrome, and google stole the name from them, too? Either way there's enough words around there's no need to screw people up and use the same words that mean two "totally" different things.

I just read it was out yesterday and i got it today, at least that's what it looks like. The link is sitting in firefox waiting for me to activate it.I was hit by the 2008 version and it cost me my hard drive, so i know what this one looks like. I'm running kubuntu now and am toying with activating it just to see if linux is as immuned as it claims. Too bad no attachments i got a screen shot. From exp i know any click on that box will activate it. If you get one shut it off with sys monitor. I'm wondering if i'm too late. When i open firefox it's still there, just the one small window opens. I tried chkrootkit and it didn't find it, if you know of a good linux scan tell me. Don't know what a reboot will do yet, i'm waiting, if i can find it i might be able to send it back.

read a web live data(news headlines)feed to a port on my comp. i've been messing with just about everything related with little to no results. This is basicly working on. The download (wget) a client (knews) a server ( news.readfreenews.net). Too many dead ends to describe. So i did manage to get something from downloading first but that shouldn;t have worked, just a bunch of nothing going to my display. The thing i'm looking for is like those text to speech programs. Some will check your mail, the one i got tells the headlines from a separate website, updated of course. Things are getting really messed up. So that's it, one line of code, like: bash bash2 | tr a-z A-Z | nc localhost 6667. bash2 would be what i'm missing. I'm new at this so for someone like you, a piece of cake right? So a direct text feed to the port that's it. thx

i copied some code off the net and when saving the file in kate i get this message: You are trying to save a python file as non ascii, without specifying a correct source encoding line for encoding utf-8. Say what? Like i'm new to linux but i'm not new to computers and i have no idea what this means. options are insert coding or save nevertheless. The problem is i can;t alter the code the compiler says syntax error every time. Is that why? the utf-8 encoding?
