Laptops are kitchens, and not every one likes to cook. If you're on this forum, you're probably a programmer, someone who sees a computer as a tool for doing work, creating content, typing stuff. I'm writing this on a Macbook Air, not a tablet, because I'm like you. But most people are not like us. Most people just want something that works. Most people don't care about customization; they just want something that works. Most people don't even care about security; they just want something that works. And sometimes, in fact many times, that's all I want. If I want to watch a movie or read a book, I just want something that works, quickly and easily. Something I don't have to worry about. Something without a keyboard to catch crumbs, something I can carry into the bathroom without feeling weird. The tablet is not a fad. If you think it is, you are betting against the tendency of people to want things to be easier than they were yesterday. That's not a wise bet.
