Did you try Wubi from ubuntu? It's a windows installer for Ubuntu. Installing it actually installs ubuntu on your system on a seperate partition (yes you can definitely use that partition from windows as well) and it installs as an application only ( you won't find the difference whether you're installing an application or an OS). At boot time you'll find two operating systems, Windows and Ubuntu, to choose from. If in future you feel like removing Ubuntu just open your Windows and uninstall Wubi, it will remove each and every trace of Ubuntu from your system. I have been using it since a long time and have never faced any issue. Find the installer here[^]

Why an approved article needs approval againI published an article of mine last month and which was approved at that time only and was published. Today i updated the article and it has again moved into pending state and is waiting for approval from the community. Whats this? before this also i have updated the article but it never asked for an approval from community. Does this mean that everytime i need to post a change I'll be needing approval for it? If so then i dont find it a good idea.

How much did Wikipedia Blackout affect you?Wikipedia is blackedout right now when I'm posting this message to protest against SOPA and PIPA. There have been 3 instances since morning when i Googled something and Wiki was amongst the top results but i can't get information from it because of the blackout. For me its been tough without wiki. How much the Wiki blackout has affected you? Are you even affected at all or a blackout of jsut 24 hrs doesnt counts much?

Most unusable technology award (my nomination - regular expressions)I nominate windows command prompt..... but i dont agree with regular expressions being unusable. Its been years since they were developed and today also they perform their basic task very well for which they were formed - to save space in code. Always i use them i think of all the if-else conditions which would have haunted me in the absence of regular expressions

You can approve again and again and againHi, Yesterday i was looking at one article for approving it and gave my opinion for the same. After that it was shown that there are a total of 5 reports for the article. Today i was able to give my opinion for that article again and this time i was shown a total of only 1 report for that particular article. I think this shouldn't be the usual behaviour. Since i wasn't allowed to vote again on the first day, the same should happen the next day as well. I shouldn't have been allowed to vote.

The views count of an article increments incorrectlyThe count of views increments by 1 on navigating to any of the tabs ( Browse code, stats, revisions, articles) of the same article. if user visits an article then it should be counted as a single visit only if he navigates to tabs of the same article. Here it gets incremented by 1.
