okay cool. This looks interesting. So i can do this directly without doing any prior certification. How much does it cost anyway ?? Do employer pay for certifications and all ..on what circumstances...??

Microsoft Certificationvery true..the main reason is to learn .NET and to improve CV..so which would be the best certification for me...
-
Microsoft CertificationWell i think there is no need for any degree as well as you can always learn by your own but still to make CV looks interesting, i guess its important these days. Plus exams would force to learn it quickly..

Microsoft CertificationHello Developers.. Just a quick question. I have just completed my Software Engineering course. Now i am planning to carry out certification course before i hunt for any job. As i am particularly interested in working as a .Net developer(web(ASP) + windows(C#) application). But in Uni there were no modules for .NET, and i guess with the knowledge of only C#.Net would not impress any employer. So while searching, i found few certification like MCSD, MCAD, MCPD etc.. Now i am confused which one should i go for and how much does it cost. Is it important to go to any training school to clear the exams or its not that hard and self study is all i need.. Cheers :) James

C#.Net developerHi, 2 months to finish University. Now it's time to start looking for job. Well i have couple of questions for you all. 1.) I am interested in C#(.Net) but as a fact i never had any module of .NET in University. But i do have 1 yr experience in it. But the problem is that when i look for jobs related to .Net, agency people calls me and ask what all .Net technologies i know and this is tough now. Well i know learning ASP or VB won't be that hard but then i have to wait till i finish Uni and prepare myself. So can any one guide me what all .Net technologies are must to learn before i search for related job. And there are significant update in .Net technologies recently but i am still using VS2005, .NET 2. So do i have to update myself before i search and is there a much difference. So please guide me the right path and the list of .NET technologies i should know before looking for job. 2.) I have got 1 yr experience during my internship. Now one important question people ask all the time is what is my salary expectation. Well, to be very honest at the moment i don't have any idea what's the current ongoing rate for a graduate in .NET with 1 yr experience. So i just give vague reply. So what do you think that i should be looking for after i finish Uni in UK(Pounds pls.) ? or what can be the perfect reply...i guess it's not a good idea to say i am easy with it. And please be serious. :) 3.) What is the best way to prepare for the interview. And if i am going for C# job interview.. Can employer ask anything i have done in course like C++, Java etc or only the Object oriented stuff and question will be related to C# mainly...? Looking forward to hearing from you all.. Thank You James :)

[Message Deleted]I never got a chance to read his question. But i don't like the way you all are making fun of that little champ. You all are senior developers. It's always better to help some one rather than critisising him. One message was enough for him to understand that he posted in a wrong place and no one will answer to it. Remember that day when you were strugling to understand coding and you were looking for some help. Suggestion for the Member 460... So buddy take care from next time and do post at the right place with full detail which should show that you did tried to search for the solution before asking out here. And do not take it too personally what ever the above developers said to you.It seems like they are all here to bully eachother and are always up for it.. God bless them..

Website development....Well actually he wants help from me and i have never developed any website except one in HTML quite a long time ago. I know C#,C++,Java language but now i want to learn some web development language as well.. so this project will be a good option for me to learn it..It would be easy i guess, but i don't understand which language is best for which type of website. Can i implement any sort of website(normal site without any database) with ASP.Net or only data driven website. I know even HTML can do the job for normal sites but if ASP.Net can be used to develop any sort of website then i would definitely go for that. Thank You James

Website development....Hello, One of my friend needs some help in creating a website for teaching sign language(for deaf people). I am more into Software development rather than website. So what do you all suggest, which language would be the best for this option. Website will include video clips and all for teaching sign language. Would ASP.Net gonna be suitable for this or if any other platform then please let me know. Keeping in mind it would be a volunteer work.Any further information related to this would be appreciated. Thank You James
