I ended up with a gaming mouse for this reason. Has annoying Leds, but can turn them off in bundled software. Semi quiet clicks, adjustable DPI and side buttons. Programmed them for home and end to quickly move around code editors and webpages.

Interestingly since ChatGPT, I've hardly used Google the last few weeks. It could just be the work I've been doing, but it could be that it's not as helpful as it once was.

I had this on a mouse once, turned out the button had failed as when I switched to a new mouse, it worked again. Just tried this on Edge and it's working okay for me.
