We looked at Trac but ended up using Redmine. I personally would have gone with Trac, as it has a far wider userbase, and has been out longer, but so far Redmine has been good, and it's an excellent example of how productive you can be with ruby on rails.

If you want to use databinding, you can use the dataview object on each table. BTW, iterating through a table is not "Brute Force". The controls inside the repeater should all be created dynamically. There isn't really much difference from iterating through a table or calling an objects databind method. Pretty much the same thing happens. I didn't get any requirements for the signature

led mike, Not sure if these XML structures (schemas) change very often. They come from a company from Japan (from a division in Italy). I think they are pretty solid/permanent. Also, I'm not sure why they didn't provide schemas or DTDs either... I am using the XmlTextWriter only because it is fast (not that speed is really and issue at this point). I used the XMLDocument object in a previous cXML project that was very similar to this project and it seemed a little slower to generate the xml docs. I just wanted to try the XmlTextWriter to see if it was noticably faster. It is also easier to use the XmlTextWriter in my code generator. I also thought about the StringBuilder and it work just as well probably. The XmlTextWriter has a fwe handly features like being able to close off the element and stuff like that. Yes, it does. The browser can't even tell the difference, apart from the file name. As long as you set the correct mime type of the response, the browser shouldn't care what the file name is. --- b { font-weight: normal; }
