Anyone use the IBuySpy Portal to make a web site?I extended it. Have a look to the answer I made to Shaun. For sure it is a good way to learn and excercice ASP.NET and C# or VB.NET. Anyone use the IBuySpy Portal to make a web site?I have added a guestbook, hit counter, an article module (developed using OlyMars), a left menu, a per users module view, show module on all page, new title module (still working on a way to show/hide module, like on MSDN)... It is really easy to extend. If you want to add modules, then it is just a matter of creating user controls. If there are using data you must extend the db and the DAL and thats it. I choosed it because it is free of charge and well designed. MVP or MCSD - is it worth it?I would say it depends of the company. I am .NET MVP awarded and currently searching for a job. The last three I met know about MVP, but I also met some that did not know about. Laurent Kempé Tech Head --- Old programmers never die, they just branch to a new address.

What was your first computer?I had a ZX 81 with 1 Ko RAM and a 16 Ko RAM extension and tape reader. If you want to see the beast, I may shoot a picture :omg: At this time I programmed it with Basic and assembly.
