Hi, I am making an ebook with ASP.Net + VB. I have created a datagrid to view the pages of the book. It works fine. I also have a Numeric pager on topAndbottom wich shows up to 10 page numbers. I’d like to have a menu working as table of content with just the chapter number on the side of the page. The question is, how can I connect the links in my side menu to a specific page number for example the beginning of chapter 2 on page 20 from the database and in the same time I want my pagers to work as before wich was showing 10 page numbers that I can choose including the page I am in right now. I am using MS Access database and Dreamweaver MX 2004. Could any one help me please. Thank you very much in advance.:) Mammad_k.

Hello there, Thanks for the reply. I am looking for some attributes that control how the datagrid pages through the data rows. I think in my case even if I use a repeater control I will have more rows of data but still in the same columns of titles. This is the look I have now: Name: Surname email X Y Z X1 Y1 Z1 And this is what I need to have: Name: X X1 Surname: Y Y1 Email: Z Z1 Thanks again, mammad

I still dont know how to run it in debug mode but as you said there was some problems with integer data type. I just changed the Integer to VarWCahr and every thing is sorted. That was a great help, thanks;) mammad

Hi, I am having a problem with editing data in browser preview. I have a datagrid with only one data column which is not read only and users should be able to edit it. I have an "edit" button in front of the row which becomes “Update” and “Cancel” buttons on Click. The cancel button works fine but when I make some changes and press update it gives me this error: System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at System.Number.ParseInt32(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info) at DreamweaverCtrls.DataSet.ConvertParameterValue(String strValue, Enum theType) at DreamweaverCtrls.DataSet.OnDataGridUpdate(Object Src, DataGridCommandEventArgs E) Any idea what it is for? You are right Christian, I am lost a bit but it is a college/Commercial project and I can't afford to hire some one. We were supposed to create our teams but in my case I couldn’t find any one who can help. Just wish me lock!;) PS. would it make a difference if I dont use dreamweaver?

When I first started this project, 3.5 weeks ago I knew nothing about web development, had an average knowledge of Dreamweaver MX 2004 and MS Access database and after a bit of searches I thought ASP.Net most be the best. So I found a book to match all these ( http://tinyurl.com/6jlhf[^]) and started from the scratch. Every thing was fine at the beginning until now that I am really in short of time. Only few days to the deadline and I am far behind and desperate to get some help. The problem is there are some friends around but they almost know every thing but ASP.Net. Please let me know if there are any better ways around (concerning my little time left) as I am a real newbie in development.

Hi I think making attractive pages more depends on ideas than technologies however there are some applications mainly made for web design when others for web development. Corel Draw and Photoshop could be great tools for making some Graphical pieces of the site but maybe not a whole page. And if you use dreamweaver have you thought of Macromedia Flash and Fireworks, they are quite famous for making attractive pages and they all work pretty good together.
