  • Outlook 2007 and Vista - a cautionary tale

Word of warning on the speed thing. I found that my new dell had installed some strange outlook addins by default and they were crashing and slowing down outlook. So it is worth checking that out. Not sure I can help with the core thread though ;P

  • Open source bug tracking

I used BugTracker.NET a while ago as well. The developer community was just one guy. But it was written in .NET and allowed me to make custom changes in a nice dev environment (I suspect this is the reason you are looking to for a .NET based solution as you don't intend to use it out of the box). If you do intend to use something out of the box then you may want to look at some free hosted bug tracking systems. Now that's very web 2.0 :~

  • HELP: Converting HTML to PDF and sending via email
    M Mark Rodrigues

Hi everyone, I am trying to do something I thought was going to be easy and sure enough I have hit a road block :^) In a nutshell I want to send a email to a user after they have made an order and in that email I would like to attach a PDF which has all the details of the order. I have a pretty HTML (.aspx) page with all the details so I thought that if the server could retrieve this page and convert it into a PDF then all my problems would be solved elegantly. Unfortunately I can't find anything which will convert a HTML web request (and its associated sub requests to get all the images, etc) and give me a PDF. Because I am on shared hosting I am also looking for something which I don't need to install on the server - I would like to just deploy it as part of my bin directory. Does anyone know anything that would do the job? Obviously if it is free that would be great but I am willing to pay for something if it is reasonably priced and does the job well. Thanks for reading this post! If you need more info please just respond and I will be more than happy to get into it. Kind regards -- Mark
