It must have been you I read a post from a few weeks ago about a "WookieTab". Got me so curious that I searched and found about Chuwi and the Windows 10/Android dual boot, I needed to order one and now I've got it, the 10" version with the clipon keyboard. Love it, Windows 10 runs well enough on Atom x5 with 4GB RAM, but Android flies like crazy with that much RAM. Battery life acceptable but not extraordinary. Thanks buddy, you made me spend money and well spent :-)

Shortage of Junior .net Developer !!!WinnipegCodeMonkey wrote:
The gist of my comment was that dot net officially was launched in 2001, but the ad (placed in 2005) was looking for 5 years experience. Totally unrealistic.
I was to say something similar but even worse, in 2005 as well, they were looking for someone with 10 years experience in .NET, I laughed so much, governments, they know nothing :-)

What is the possible logic here?I also faced a problem with a site which limited passwords to 8 characters, but pasting my original longer password didn't fail, it probably truncated that one too to 8 characters before doing the comparison. I faced a problem when I had to change my password and the first 8 characters were the same but the ending was different, it was returning me an error saying that my new password had to be different than the old one.

Windows phone 10 rantBrent Jenkins wrote:
Why? Is it for a rational reason? Have you tried using their gear?
My personal phone is a Lumia 830 upgraded to 10. Work is giving me an iPhone for work related stuff and I hate that interface with a passion: -One button at bottom, I'm all confused when I need to press back to go to previous screen; -All apps are always on the desktop, WP and Android both have customized list of apps on desktop and an all apps list which makes things easier. And Android, I've got a tablet for apps I don't find on Windows Phone but I end up using it only to play games (these are basically the apps I don't have on WP).

What's everyone's opinion of OpenOffice vs. LibreOffice?Ami Pro, loved this word processor back in the Windows 3.1 days. They totally ruined it when they made Word Pro for the 32bit Office suite they made.

I can't see all the problems with upgradesI used to have only one computer, back then I either had dual-boot configured or I swapped main HDD to try other things. Now I have the chance to have many computers at home. So when something new comes around I upgrade the least useful machine and try it out there. Windows 10 tryout was so good now that all but one of my machine have Windows 10 (the one left with Windows 7 is connected to my TV and runs Media Center). At work I'm on Windows 7 and every single day I miss Windows 8.1/10 features like taskbar that extends to multiple monitors and app icons only on the monitor they are on. Windows 10 brought an amazing scrolling feature which have been in X-Windows since forever: scroll inactive window just by hovering your mouse over that window. I wouldn't go back to pre 8.1 versions of Windows.

Microsoft: I don't want Edge. Really.Edge is still missing one essential option (Chrome is also missing it by the way!): Option to automatically switch to a new tab when I right-click --> Open in new tab. Both IE and Firefox have that option, not Edge, not Chrome. I hate it when I see a new tab open and not being brought to it automatically... why the hell did I open it if I didn't want to go there?

What do you look at when you buy a car?-Price, -Reliability, because I really don't like to spend time at the repair shop. -Fuel consumption, -CD Player (too often these days CD is gone and only USB is available, I like having both) -Rare model. I like to be almost the only one with a model. Here I've got a Scion xD in Canada, very few on the road and not really expensive.
