It's that J word that gets to me. It's not just for frameworks, it seems it's for everything. When I get a 'Why don't you just...' question, I get ready for the inevitable repeat of the question. There is usually some bit they didn't hear.

Up The Amazon Without a PaddleThat jurisdiction because of headquarters has not survived court challenges. And, the one test case has been challenged so far, by Microsoft. They pointed out the risks if it were to apply in reverse. I've been staying away from US-headquartered firms because of this, regardless.

Wow.. SCRUM is **horrible**...It's horsemeat, that's what it is. Scrum is two opposing teams pushing against each other. It must have been an american football fan that came up with the use. Certainly wasn't a rugby fan that's familiar with rugby. I think they meant to say 'huddle' with this. But like many new paradigms in programming, some marketing types loaded up a powerpoint presentation and destroyed the idea.

System Design PointerI use paper/pencil, and usually away from the computer. However, I don't go farther than a few objects at a time unless I have a really clear idea where things are. That said, if I do find I'm making a large model, I'll open up a word processor and do a multi-level bulleted list. That way, I can add things as I need. Where an outer item points back into the model later (such as a sport team under Rugby pointing back into a location under countries/cities), I'll put that in parentheses afterwards. I'll do this in cycles until the entire model is done.
