Hi Every body, By the Grace of God i create my first Website and i published on Net and i create Database also My Question is it is necessary to have customError tag in web.config because when i type my website URL i got is error that customErrors mode="Off" and one more thing in web.congif only i write the Configuration setting like this <configuration> <appSettings> <add key ="Connect" value="server=.; database=Ckom; uid=sa; Password=;" /> </appSettings> <connectionStrings/> in server i change the database name, userid,password and server="localhost" i don't know wether this is right or wrong i am very much confuse with server please help me so that i can see my website again i will that i got the message Server Error in '/' Application. below this they show customError mode="off" please help me by telling excat what are the changes i have to made in web.config file on the server

Hi i am using menu in my website but i am unable to handle it my menu look like same as code project menu if i open my side in desktop monitor means CRT monitor its fit according to the data present in my site but when i open same site in laptop its not working properly means menu is starching towards left side as the width of the screen increasing my question is how to maintain the menu width according to data its does not starch as the screen of laptop increases i think i put my question correctly please help its very important thanks in advance

Hi jain declare one variable in your code and use OnSelectedIndexChanged event of list box grape that item using str=listbox.selecteditem.text where str is a string variable and listbox is ur listbox id use this str variable in ur button i hope this will help you

hi brother i am developing one application in which 1) i need to fetch the user name from the computer how currently log in 2) i need to fetch the all application which is install on the computer for example in the computer they install Ms.Net,Ms Office etc 3) i need to restric the for accessing some install software in the computer for example if developer user sign in i will give all permission if suppose any network people or some guest user loggin i want restric them to accessing Ms.Net software or some other software The above three are my question out of 3 i have done first 2 that is fetching the user name from the computer and fetching the software install on the system but i am unable to do the thired one can anyone help me for doing the thired question please please please help me thanks in advance

thanks for support the way u said i did the same thing i open the control panel from there i open firewall setup then i open advance setting then i give permission to my boss computer to access my website i ping my computer from my boss computer. He get the reply from my computer. when i tried to open the website again it is given page cannot be display i type the url in this way http://myipaddress/websitename/Default.aspx will i have to set some setting from my iis or some other way is there i will tell what i did after publishing i copy the publish files and i past that file into wwwroot directory then i open the inetmgr from run then i open default website i saw my website folder i right click that folder after that i open the property and i set virtual directory then i closed the iis and from my computer i open the internet explorer i type the address as http://localhost/mywebsitename its work fine in localhost . will i have set some setting to access my boss from my computer please help me as soon as possible because i have to show today at any cost please help me
