If there are four of five of us with the same dream, would it not be worth talking about doing something collectively? After all a 4th or 5th share of Millions is better than 100% of nothing

Database Connectivity LostI was wondering if any you guys can help me, 'cause this is driving me nuts! On a click-through ad I stubled across just what I was looking for. It was a code generator for seamlessly connecting to MSSQL/Oracle/MySQL for .NET. It was in two parts, firstly a free generator when used for V1.1 than you paid a license for V2.0 integrated into the IDE. It was a new start up, Canadian I think, it's just that I'd like to use a company like this rather than the big boys on something like Componentsource...should have bookmarked it ...but you know what it's like!!

VS 2003 / VS2005 - side by side? Why not use something like VMWare, a fantasic piece of sotware and flick between any flavour of development setups? Even supportted a MS-DOS 4 app the other day then had it running on a VMPlayer on clients super fast XP machine p.s. not on commission, just think it's perfect for our line of work!

Software ProtectionI mean to protect it from copying. Just like the commercial software you get which gives you a 30 day trail then you have to pay the license fee. I was wondering what the best practice was to "make sure you get your money":) for the thousands of hours of blood and sweat!! -- modified at 6:39 Tuesday 13th June, 2006

Software ProtectionJust finished my first business app using VB.net 2005/SQL2005 and wanted some advice/products to protect it before throwing it into the wild. Looking on the web, there seem many ways to skin a cat, but I though an encryption class in the code to check a .LIC file looked the easiest. I wanted to later set up an online download/purchse/license model once it takes off  so I'm not sure if the two are compatible. What the pro's experiences? I
