What can you do with a NVIDIA RTX A4000 card, in our programming world here, plus deep learning and AI5820 is that a mobile workstation? Mine is a 5560 with a RTX A2000. Decided for the A model, mostly because lower power consumption and more processing power. Dell has greatly improved the cooling system and this thing is pretty quiet, on my previous machine M4800 I could hear the fans turn on whenever Msft would push updates. Word of warning, on the 5560 the bluetooth is on the main board. On this machine there was a 2-4 sec delay (keyboard and mouse) after a few seconds of inactivity. That was power saving functionality on the new BT version. Made using mouse and keyboard a RPITA. Dell has twice attempted to fix this with new motherboards, failed both times. Then just when I was getting ready to return it, a new driver became available that fixed it.

Best, cheap, ASP.NET Core hosting?smarterasp.net Tried switching a few times but got greatly discouraged and reverted due to the complexity of the software used to perform hosting related tasks. Plesk I think it was called. All 3 alternatives used it. Their support is pretty decent too.

How to buy medical insurance personally? The exchanges are all ObamaCare. You will be bled dry. Start with Liberty Health Share and see if it is available in your state. Then do a search for "alternatives to Liberty Health Share". That should get you going. Agree on going overseas for non emergency care.

Your opinion ob language to create a website / blog.Happened to me several times with Microsoft tech, to name a few: early Sharepoint, Small Business Server, WebMatrix. Web development tech and capabilities change rapidly, any tech regardless if it comes from Msft, ages quickly. Something that is 3 years old is showing its age, something that is 6 years is too limited, and something that is 9 years old is in a museum. Rather than look at why not, look at the reasons why. Right now Msft tech (Blazor / Maui / Azure) is hot.

NormalizationA wise man told me once: normalize till it hurts, then denormalize until it works. My app are mostly transactional and I don't see any other way then to have denormalized data.

Some questions about upgrading to Windows 11There is more nagging about Edge, and it is more difficult to switch default browsers. The start menu is a problem too, half is useful, the other half is populated with Microsoft's recommendation based on what you have been doing, i.e. AI. Last time I looked there were some rar files there, basically they are wasting prime real estate. Cannot change that. There is widgets for those who, well I don't know who the target audience is for that. And there is Msft news, which infests the notification area, Edge, and widgets. Plenty of opportunity to tell Msft what news you like, as to enhance the value of the product that is Mrs Witch to Microsoft And there is the taskbar, which is now feature limited by only allowing you to put it bottom left or bottom center (Apple mode). According to some Msft marketing dude Windows 11 puts you the user front and center and that is why the Taskbar is in the center too! Lots of complaints in the Feedback Hub, but so far nothing but blah blah from Msft as to when they are going to fix this. It all has a consumerish feel to it for me and for now I think the benefits are overshadowed by the overall sense of "we know better how you should be using your computer".

Like I needed another reason to despise AppleThis is what zero tolerance policies do in general, added to it a generous helping of hubris. Intuit, Adobe, PayPal, Stripe, Twilio, they are all the same. Microsoft now on the same path.

Monitor questions for youI would stick with flat monitors, yes plural you need two at least. Flat because it is easier for eyes to stay focused when everything is in the same plane. Try reading a piece of text on a curved piece of paper in landscape. Have one eye makes this even more problematic, I think. 24" at least, 2K is already a good improvement. 4K has more definition but I am not sure if the software we use renders correctly at that resolution.

Anyone watching the Microsoft Surface event today?I would hope that home / business choice is Windows Home vs Windows Pro.

Outsourced HR?Good point @dandy72, about them being more woke than anyone else. They are out to change the world, including your world. Whether you like it or not. As an illustration the 3rd party I am dealing with all of a sudden disallowed the section of our Health, Safety, and Environment manual, because....... tada.....we could no longer use the terminology of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets). Stern words accompanied this edict: "only in a historical context". Turn out there is a UN program that is being pushed and we are all now supposed to use SDS (Safety Data Sheets). To the OP my recommendation is to keep things simple, and have someone you know and trust handle this for you.

Outsourced HR?I do have first hand experience dealing with 3rd party that sits between my customer and me. It is very similar. This customer has outsourced insurance verification for contractors. At least that is how it started out. Then they added verification of quality control procedures, then they added verification of training procedures, and so on and so on. Their current mission is:
.... is an online contractor and supplier management platform of data-driven products and services that help manage risk, support sustainability and strengthen relationships. It helps reduce unnecessary duplication associated with traditional qualification processes.
There is enormous scope creep to justifiy their existence. The contractors are on the receiving end of overbearing rigidity, frequent requests to update procedures, and ever increasing requirements for insurance coverage, everything is cookie cutter style. You don't comply you get downgraded. There is no longer a personal connection with the customer, that relationship was not strengthned. The relationship with the customer is now only based on a grade for how well you comply with the procedures set in place by the company in between. Every fad comes down the pipeline and is implemented. The contractors hate this 3rd party. The cost of compliance is sky-rocketing, and as a result the customer sees rapidly increasing cost. I don't think your candidates will have a much different experience.

Parallels 17. Disillusioned againI am using VMware Workstation Pro, mostly on version 14 something. It was doable but slow almost like a computer with 2GB of memory, but it had 10 GB. Upgraded to version 16 something. Now it is like the VM has only 500 Mb of memory, instead of the 10GB

Would a desktop document management application be something that people would want? What does your document management system do? Store docs? Windows does that. What else?
