Thanks Pete. Upgrading it to VS2010 is another issue for us at the moment, VS2008 would be OK. I think I am going to have a bit hard time presenting WPF as the better candidate for our Enterprise apps. An alternate option being considered is Google Web Toolkit/Java at the moment. We have quite a few native apps in VS2003 and .NET apps in 2005. I recently started using VS2008 for WPF. I tried installing .NET 4 and it failed on XP! I found quite a few people have this issue. I'll dig into this sometime later today.

With automatic weapons you need something to provide the kick for reload. That means either using live ammo or putting some kind of restriction on the barrel to give some back pressure. Of course you need to remove the restriction when you change from blank to live so people might prefer to use live all the time if they are likely to need to use their AK for real all of a sudden.

Thank you Joel. I work with C# and see the benefits but I need to find some case where it will really turn the decision in favor of managed code using .NET CF. I have a few cases with me but would like to see CPians view before finalizing (I have not made the decision yet and the views I read here will impact that) On few forums I read posts which advice not to use managed code on Winmo because of performance, battery, and memory foot print issues with any code that requires runtime on mobile devices. What are your views on this?

You are welcome, nativebyte. I did not look into the PCG option. When I signed up for Parasol, I was in a hurry and this is a short-term contract. So I just picked the option recommended by my clients who I've worked with before. Also the Parasol service charge was factored into my daily rate, so I did not look around for better options. Sorry I can't be of more help to you.
