Thank you for your reply. As you mentioned, the order can be based on hue. I have already done some experiments with that. If we use HSV or HSL color model, and then the priority is as hue > sat > val/lum, still the order was not satisfying. Then I tried CIELAB, but have no idea on how to sort the colors in this color space. In some sites, it is said that this color space is best for our (human) perspective. I just want to get an order in the appearance of colors. I doubt, it is not so easy to sort and list the colors in one dimension. Trying again and again... :) - ns ami -

:) Actually my project contains many xsl and xml handling as I noted before. That is why I cant change the VC++ control for HTML behaviour right now. Instead of that I should manage the xsl and html template to get the expected results. Also I dont have any experience in this area of xsl and html... OK... I did more study on that and I could locate the problem. The code was like this... HWND hWndEdit = CreateWindow( _T( "EDIT" ), _T( "" ), WS_POPUP | WS_VISIBLE, 0, 0, 100, 50, hWnd, (HMENU)1001, hInstance, 0 ); And the problem was with control ID given. For top level window it should be null or a valid menu handle. Let me say what I was trying for. I need to show an edit control inside a list control (similar to label edit), but its width can be more than list control's client area. So I tried to use a popup edit control. Any idea to implement the same? - NS -
