Well....I'm already using RAPI and it works fine with a PDA. What I was asking was if there is a way to debug DLLs designed to be used in conjuction with CeRapiInvoke(). I could create another DLL project and simply reuse the call but I'm trying to debug the x86 DLL generated by eVC. Paul

Wellllllll......while it seems to be something that managers & business analysts want, its a nice solution to lots of the reports I've been asked to write for such users....using traditional SQL database's to generate these reports tends to mean that it'll take a fair amount of code to do what they want, and even then it'll be nowhere near as nice as what I've been able to pull out of an OLAP database...and when I create such a report using OLAP/MDX I'm able to create a query in a few minutes (if I have to create a dimension or cube, it might be an hour, but still a very short period of time). From the developers perspective, I think its a huge benefit due to the quicker turnaround and depth of information.

I haven't seen anything about virtual cubes.....any suggestions where to look?? Does it allow the user to filter the query statement associated with this cube?

The conflict isn't over, the result is unknown, and most of us don't even know what he's doing outside of the public statements he makes. It seems that the majority of the US population has lost it's civility when it comes to respecting their Presidents. I was upset that people were disrespectful to President Clinton too, but at least he had done something that was actually wrong and demeaning to the US. Why are people more upset about something Bush hasn't done than they were about something Clinton did?!?

I had the same problem a couple of months ago with an Access 2000 database and ADO. The solution looks like the following: pConnection->BeginTrans(); //modify data base in some method pConnection->CommitTrans(); After CommitTrans() other connections will see the change that occurred between BeginTrans and CommitTrans. This will flush the result back to the database. There is an article in the MSDN library that explains transactions in ADO. Search MSDN for "Using Transactions in Your Solutions" as an exact phrase. There should be one article, its in Visual Basic but the solution is similar in VC++. John

Let me clarify: The SQL Server Query Builder does not take the SQL code for a parameterized queries and convert it to a diagram. It only works (or at least that is all I got to work) for views -- which by definition do not have parameters.

There is already an ATL (ActiveX) version of Chris Maunder's grid control right here on CodeProject. The grid control is highly expandable and comes complete with full source code for free. There are examples on how to use combo boxes, tree controls, and other cool stuff with the grid control. I, personally, wish that it was easier to do popup menus with the grid control because I'm having some difficulties.
