This might sound strange but I either listen to classical music or Marilyn Manson really loud with my headphones. Im at my most productive when I do this. I have trouble concentrating and loud screamy stuff or sweeping classical music seems to focus me on my coding by cancelling out random thoughts. Maybe my random braincells just go "oh hell no, kthxbye" or fall asleep something :laugh: Plus our office noises are unbearable.

Well I spent an hour yesterday making an application that dumps my hardcoded constants into my local database and another that dumps my local database values to an INSERT script for the official test server database. sad. I could have just copied and pasted it into the VS2008 Edit table view and keep an extra excel copy but where's the fun in that?.

These are suicide inducing... Especially since the rest of the system is programmed in 4GL PROGRESS, which will be my final push over the edge... 4) In about 2 weeks, Jasper Reports till my brain bleeds and considering my Epic java skillzzzzz (Yeah, they suck atm) that should prove fun. Although in practice most of my time is spent staring at broken spec docs and complaining to the BA's that that shit aint gonna happen. Ever.

You actually got leave??? I didn't... I always expect the worst. The funny thing is my manager probably thinks Im the most optimistic person here. He will ask me about a deadline or if Im capable of a task and I will always be like "Sure! Its fine! Everything is fine! Im fine! Are you fine?" This is of course while Im thinking. Its not gonna make deadline. Never does never will. And there is no such thing as negativity, I like to think of it more as being realistic. I always expect the worst and never get dissapointed as a result :) And when things go really well its a bonus! :-D
