Hi there. i'm currently a vb 2005 newbie programer and was interest in knowing what is the exact diference between vb2005 and c#? If you have the time to explain what makes C# better then Vb 2005 i would appreciate it, since i always heard/read about people telling that C# is better but never quite got why.

Hi guys.. I would like to know any good books/websites from wich i can learn more about computer history, since it's beginning to our days, who was the first programer (as far as i know it was a women) and so on. I'm getting very interested in this and maybe i can learn stuff to help me, by having a better understand of how things were done before, i can understand how things are done in our days in a easier/most understandble way. Appreciate any replies

I already notice a lot of people being flamed by programing question a few times and already knew but thanks for the warning anyway, it's never too much ^_^
I realy hope since the majority of "strangers" here look pretty nice people.
well, for now i'm using Vb2005 since the language i learned in school was Vb6 but it's a lot diferent/better/easier than vb6 (at least that is my personal opinion) but whiling to learn more stuff. The thing that actualy makes me apreciate programing is the chalenge, since a small thing can become a big puzzle. I also like the way we can be creative about it.
I've been receiving the newletter from Cp and reading some articles/discutions here for some time but quite never posted here before (not realy sure why). So i'm making this post just to make a small introdution. I'm a newbie programer, out a school a while ago and still learning many stuff every day. I also like to say that this is a great forum, full of great resources and nice people and i've learned a lot reading it already, so thanks to the comunity in general and the creators of Cp for this great resource :-D (btw, i wasn't sure if this was the right area to post this topic so please be gentel with me ^_^)
