To add attributes to the body tag, refer to this[^] tip. For adding attributes to the form, you can refer to that tip as well, particularly on the part of exposing the properties. I finally found the solution! I also had to clear the headers of the response, apparently, Response.Clear() only clears the content. Maybe the header was somehow populated incorrectly by the new pop-up page. In fact, the person that told you this does not know the final step of your application or he tried to impress you :) You may have multiple threads in order to travers the tree, but in your case, the problem will be the output (Console.Writeline(....)) which is thread safe, you will have a lock in order to block multiple threads to access the output buffer. So, except if you are sure that you have a multiple core, in order millions of data (but in this case do not use the Console), I advise you to stay thread safe (1 thread and this one will catch the maximum of CPU) or otherwise you wil have a timce slice handling to do and lock/unlock to manage. Hello again, I converted the large stored procedure into smaller ones, by placing the tree generation and traversal business logic in C# code and just using stored procedures for simple checks and updates. The entire operation, then, is enclosed in a single transaction. The good news is that the 30-minute operation was optimized to 15 minutes. The bad news is that the new c# code made the web server too busy that other users couldn't use the application (even though multi-threading is automatically done by the IIS). What I plan to do is to implement multi-threading manually for this function. Do you think it will solve my problem? Any other suggestions? Thanks again. Rafferty

Found the problem. The problem was not in the <sessionState ... mode="InProc" ... /> but in the <sessionState ... cookieless="AutoDetect" ... />. Apparently, cookieless should be ="UseCookies". I thought "AutoDetect" should detect it properly, is this an ASP.Net bug? Rafferty

Thanks for replying. Yes my web services are running... I just found out that it's not really a unit test issue but a general web-referencing issue. What I mean is, if I open the web service through my internet browser and invoke the methods, the methods will execute. However, if I create a simple .net project and add a web reference, I get the error stated above. Any idea why? Thanks. Rafferty

Okay thanks! Since my local is not in an AD, I'm not seeing the Security tab in Properties. But since it's confirmed that it's an IIS setting problem than log4net config/coding problem... at least I have some direction. What I don't understand is that the logging of this web application used to work, when we were still doing the following: Trace.Listeners.Add(new TextWriterTraceListener("data/ErrorTrace.txt")); Trace.AutoFlush = true; So I'm also inclined to think that it's not a permissions problem. Would you know why it worked using trace listeners and stopped working when I switched to log4net? Rafferty
