Does anyone have recommendations of any sites like "The Code Project" but for Linux ? I am interested in C++ development on Linux and I am hoping to find some sites where developers share code like Code Project (which has been a great source of practical programming information). :)

We user SourceOffsite, http://www.sourcegear.com/sos/, and it works 10x times better than VSS over the Net. It is relatively inexpensive and and well worth the cost. It makes use VSS over the Net work really well. Richard Cue

I am interested in implementing an software AutoUpdate mechanism much like that implemented in Windows or in programs such as Norton AntiVirus. What I am looking for is either a product to buy or some simple classes which will go to a web site, download the required components etc. Can anyone suggest any products or links to sample code. This problem must have been solved several times before and I want to avoid reinventing the wheel. Thanks
