My code is too fast :(The wired breadboards work well up to about 1 MHz, then can have some strange behaviour above that. I suspect it is due to capacitance, but could be mistaken on that. The behaviour your describing fits into that kind of scenario. Ken

WIndows update - what's it up to?Hah, I thought it was my work computer making me reboot to install updates (meaning my IT guys), but yes, it has slowed down and the only thing to do was to do a reboot and lo and behold there were updates. It may be an intentional thing as this has been happening for the last year or so. Ken

So my little arduino clone is fun but I was wondering somethingWay down the list I seen that someone mentioned HD44780 with some links. This is the link I used to get things going. I found a box of these surplus at $1 or something a bunch of time ago, but all the connectors are reversed like the connector is on the wrong side of the board....but once I got that figured out, I got it going.... And the site that helped me get going with it.[^] Good luck and enjoy.
