Supreme Court denies Microsoft appealI think we'll all be surprised at the serverity of the MS penalty. If it was light then MS would have settled the case by now because the US has a Republican Justice Department. What a bunch of hypocrites! What if I believed that I was superman? I would have faith in that assumption, but I would most likely end up in a Mental Hospital. What a bunch of hypocrites!Doesn't "satan" operate hell and manipulate people into "sin"? If I were "god" I would just close "satan's" hell. Anyway, what proof does "god" give to the individual? What a bunch of hypocrites! If god is all powerful then how come "satan" is supposedly even allowed to operate. I assume that "god" would have gotten rid of "satan" if he was all powerful.X| See how flawed the religious logic is. Thats why when anyone asks me what god I believe in I just tell the Zeus. Also it seems like "god" has a scam. Get "satan" to scare all the people to run to "god". If "god" wanted people to believe in him why didn't he just "design" them to believe. Supreme Court denies Microsoft appealI do think that MS will be seriously hurt by the restrictions and regulations. I was reading that the courts may force MS to open up it's Windows source code, Remove any MS influence on the way OEMs can modify windows. Thats why MS is having a hard time settling with the DOJ(along with the fact that they want to postpone any restrictions as long as possible). History of The PC - How We've ProgressedYour right. I forgot that some people are married :). Oh I guess this isn't in my bio, but I'm not married. History of The PC - How We've ProgressedIsn't Windows programming supposed to be a profitable industry, or did MS take all your money by bundling important software into it's OS? Surely you must be able to afford more computers. The more the better. :) We've all heard that 100 monkeys typing in Visual C++ could come up with Windows. - thanks to MS, we now know this is true May the Source be with you. :vegemite:

History of The PC - How We've ProgressedOh and one more company. Microsoft runs on MS Servers. And as you well know MS is a very large Enterprise. The only problem is that it gets hacked to frequently. :( That can be dangerous to those who will be using .NET and passport. History of The PC - How We've ProgressedActually MS does compete in the Enterprise market. I believe that DELL uses MS's Windows 2000 to run it's buisness/website. Ebay runs on MS Servers, or it may have at an earlier point if I recall correctly. Google uses a cluster of 10,000 linux based PC's, so you can see that Linux scales well. I read that linux will be able to support 32 processors within the next year or so. Currently I believe the maximum is 8. Once that happens, Linux will truly entrench the enterprise market. History of The PC - How We've ProgressedIn the enterprise market linux is becoming very popular. IBM will eventually replace AIX with Linux. HP is making similar plans with it's UNIX. In the desktop market the future is not as certain for Linux though. Linux clusters are now showing up in the top500 So as you can see this is an exciting time for Linux in the Enterprise arena. History of The PC - How We've ProgressedA)2000 Win2K B)2001 Linux Don't worry this is my last Linux post for a while:-O BTW doesn't the name Hobart sound like a Dungeons and Dragons / Lord of the Rings town name? I always smile when I hear someone mention it when talking about Christian. In the land of Hobart there lived a young CP poster who has thousands of posts to his name... Supreme Court denies Microsoft appeal"Actual proof of illegal practices has not been shown" Yes it has. MS is in the sentencing part of the trial. It's already been convicted of murder, the prosecution isn't going for the death penalty, and now it's time to decide whether it's 25 years or Life. Ask a lawyer and you'll see I'm right. Supreme Court denies Microsoft appealNot that I'm denying that MS has done things with OEMs that at best border on illegal and are obviously unethical, but your response here shows that you really don't have the facts. You claimed actual illegal practices....Until actual proof of illegal actions appear before a court the MS bashers are nothing but an annoyance. MS DID illegal things. They are a convicted Law breaker. The Federal Court said it, the Appeals Court said it, and now the US Supreme Court said it. The only thing left is the punishment. You need to get your facts straight. We've all heard that 100 monkeys typing in Visual C++ could come up with Windows. - thanks to MS, we now know this is true May the Source be with you. :vegemite:

Supreme Court denies Microsoft appealI could say the same thing about you right now. How long will it be before the name calling comes out again? Oh yeah, I forgot. MS supporters are really into being pushed around S&M style by Microsoft. If they don't get it from Master Bill and Steve, they want someone else to give it to them. :-D We've all heard that 100 monkeys typing in Visual C++ could come up with Windows. - thanks to MS, we now know this is true May the Source be with you. :vegemite:

Supreme Court denies Microsoft appealLinux people WON'T use .NET. Thats what I meant. They don't want MS's junk. The perpose of Linux is to kill MS. We'll just use something else. Supreme Court denies Microsoft appealOh come on, do you really believe that? MS practically paid for Bush/Cheney's inagrual ceremony, and they are one of the biggest contributers to the political process. You know what I do for entertainment? I watch Bill Gate's trial videotape. It's funny watching him squirm back and forth denying this and that. MS's definition of research: Look what Apple is doing May the Source be with you. :vegemite:
