Do you mean syncing via BT? You can do it really easily via USB with the cable and software that came with your phone (assuming it was retail, not some butchered carrier version). If you want to use BT though I bought a Belkin Bluetooth PDA and PC Adaptor Combo Card (link[^]) which I use in my laptop and PDA to talk to the phone. I never used it for syncing (I use the cable because I leave it plugged in overnight to charge), but I remember seeing that the 'mobilePhone tools' software will work over BT too. The latest version adds a button to Outlook to sync, so you'd just need to pair with the card and then hit sync. The FileSystemWatcher component - nor the underlying ReadDirectoryChangesW API - record this information. In fact, IIRC, NTFS filesystem doesn't even record this information. There's no entries in it for the journal, at least (NTFS is now a journaling file system). If you want to see who's got what files open (which may help indicate who changed what) and since this is on a server (so I assume people are accessing files via a UNC share), you could P/Invoke NetFileEnum. I've included some code below that can help and that I wrote some time back to assist with closing open file handles (for executables) in our shared build directory. Also, you could try the Win32 Logon user function, although I would presume that it will cause the exact same error, as your error is not an error but an AD feature. When you copy data in Excel, it uses several clipboard formats to store data (actually, quite a few more than "several"). Why rebuild something that is static? If you don't specify many various years, build either a global temp table or add a new table with incremental dates, ignoring Saturday and Sunday. To get the dates, then, just use something like: select Date into #DATES from DateCache where Date between @dateStart and @dateEnd Another way would be to use an extended stored proc. Thanks for this explanation. I think i got the idea. But let's go back to the pactual roblem this thread is about. Today, i found a similar problem in my application. I have an ArrayList where i store instances of a certain class X. Each of this instances possesses a Queue that is pretty big. For example, if i add 2 instances of class X to the ArrayList the memory usage increases by 4MB. When i remove the instances from the ArrayList, they are collected by GC (tested that) but the memory usage doesn't decrease. But also it doesn't increase when i add two new instances of class X to the ArrayList. Only a third object increases memory usage. Could it be that the memory is freed when the instances of class X are collected by GC but somehow remains attached to my application?

This is because the Windows Installer projects in VS.NET suck. Trust me - I've worked with Windows Installer for as long as it's been out and the Visual Studio projects are always poor. It is possible, just not using VS.NET. Good developer environments like Wise for Windows Installer[^] (cheaper, just as capable) and InstallShield Developer[^] (much more expensive, includes proprietary install projects, too) make this a trivial operation. Yes, all they're doing here is implementing a custom IComparer with which to sort (not really necessary in most cases since two columns with DBNull.Value would still have the same value, but whatever). The only good way to do this is to use the DISTINCT keyword in your SQL statement. What's wrong with that? First, declare your variable as a DataGridBoolColumn instead of a DataGridColumnStyle. You can then avoid expensive cast operations and can still add it to the DataGridTableStyle.GridColumnStyles collection property because it's still a DataGridColumnStyle object (from which it inherits). Set AllowNull to false (the default) and make sure that none of your rows contains a NULL value for that column. If they do, the DataGridBoolColumn will automatically draw a tri-state combo box. In most cases with boolean columns in a database it's best to define a default and not allow nulls anyway - it saves you from having to check for null values since - when converting to a bool - value types cannot be null.
