There is nothing it TSQL (Microsoft SQL Server "Transactional SQL") that is going to automatically insert foreign key values. You might have used some tool that created TSQL for you, but then it generated TSQL which explicitly inserted the key value.

You should create another column to satisfy your requirements of a contiguous numbering system. A primary key identifies the record and shouldn't change. I wouldn't want to be dealing with Customer#1234 and then send an update to the database, but it turns out my Customer is now #1233 because someone deleted a record while. Customer#1234 (who is now Customer#1233) would be especially annoyed when his shipment of goods gets sent to the old Customer#1235, who is now Customer#1234. Wow. the situation is that i have a table Employee info having attributes EmpId EmpName GenID the gender attribute is bieng filled by another table having 2 attribuites GenID and gender i.e GenID is a foriegn key in the Employee info table now when filling the table from a winform i loaded the data in the combo box of gender in form load event but the value member is giving error bcoz i have to select the field from gender and must be saved in the Employee info table sas

HOW? 1st of all, you are talking about the FORMS of the application, on other hand you are talking about switching to next TABLE I think there is no any TABLE control in C#.NET. If you are talking about FORMS, talk about the controls on the form. So now I am asking, as you said, every form is associated with two tables, How these 2 tables you are displaying on the form? i mean which controls you are using to display the data of the Table ?
