I'm not sure that's really the danger you think it is... I've been using a open-source password manager, Keypass, and the clipboard extension, Ditto, for quite awhile now, without running into this issue. The behavior I experience is that after copying the password from within Keypass, and pasting it somewhere else, when I check Ditto to try pasting it again, there is no record of the password in its database. I believe it behaves this way because Keypass, and probably other password managers, set the clipboard datatype of the password to a type that causes it to expire after a short time (or perhaps after a single paste). This requires the clipboard manager to honor it of course, and there could be ways around this "protection". I haven't cared enough about this security feature to track down the hows & whys of its operation... especially, since I only became aware of it when I specifically wanted a password to remain in the Ditto database and discovered that it didn't (by the way, the work around is to paste the password into a plain-text editor and re-copy it).

Keyboard questionsI don't think I'd want to spend that kinda of money on a keyboard without being able to take it for a test spin. Fortunately for me, when I decided to get a new mechanical keyboard I was able to go to a local brick 'n mortar store so I could at least test out the feel of the various mechanical switch types available at the time. That's how I ended up with a SteelSeries Apex 7 with blue cherry switches that I've been very happy with. I'd love to compare the feel of these TOPRE switches, but I doubt there are any locally available to me. If you end up in the same boat, make sure you purchase your new keyboard from somewhere with a liberal return policy!

I was going to write an article about how pointers aren't confusingI know what you mean, but my "pointer epiphany" was memorable enough to still be clear to me more than 30 years later... now if I could just remember where I put my glasses.

I was going to write an article about how pointers aren't confusingI remember learning pointers being a real "light bulb" type of learning experience for me. I felt like I was banging my head against a wall trying to figure them out, then with a single revelation, they suddenly made complete sense to me. I've never been able to figure out what caused that revelation.

Your preferred Git UI (if any)?Be glad you aren't required to use Visual Studio 2012 like my team. Its git plugin has some quirks!

What is your favourite film (that didn't make much money)?[Idiocracy](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/ "Idiocracy") Though its a bit depressing how prophetic it has become.

Best sci-fi movies...You forgot [Idiocracy](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/) It was originally released as a Sci-Fi/Comedy, but seems to have become a documentary in recent years. :sigh:

How much do you pay to manage your passwords?I don't understand why you would pay for something you can get for free? I haven't used 1Password, but I'm probably getting most of the same functionality by using [KeePass](keepass.info "KeePass") and a free DropBox account, but it doesn't cost me anything.

1920x1080 in 21,5" or in 24" what is your preference? That just means you need a bigger desk! ;P

1920x1080 in 21,5" or in 24" what is your preference?I've always preferred 1920x1200, but its getting really difficult to find monitors in that resolution/aspect ratio. Whatever the resolution, 24" seems to be the current "sweet-spot", although 27" is becoming more popular. EDIT TO ADD: For anyone who finds it difficult keeping straight the various resolutions and their aspect ratios, like I do, there is a great image on this wiki page that helps.

So, if you're manager asked you to use a nickname...Congratulate your fellow employee (the one with the "Islamic" sounding name) on winning the lawyer lottery, and ask him/her what they are going to buy first with the proceeds of their lawsuit.

Spam Blockers?I tried something similar, but apparently they don't filter out "spam" addresses, so my nospam@... gets as much spam as my others (more since I tend to use it in situations where I'm expecting my address to end up on yet another 'list')
-
Spam Blockers? If you are using Outlook, try SpamBayes. After a week of training, it seems to be >95% effective for me (I run all my email through Outlook). Some people have reported having issues getting it to work with Outlook 2013, but I haven't noticed any problems.

Any free software that would be useful to...If your group is organized geographically, such as a local neighborhood, you may want to check out NextDoor. I'm not sure if it can do everything you're looking for, but it definitely covers some of your needs.

Which keyboard key do you hit the most while using Visual Studio?Followed eventually by CTRL+Z!

Visual Studio Community Edition now?The problem is that MS doesn't currently offer a viable solution for "small" software development companies anymore. In "ye olden tymes", it was simple, you just bought a MSDN subscription for every in-house developer and they were legal to create software for every MS OS using any/every Microsoft tool available. Now you have to purchase separate licenses for the particular version of Visual Studio you want to use/support, so you end up with situations like ours: a small handful of people doing "new" work in Visual Studio 2012 while the rest do their maintenance work using VS2005. I had hoped that the new Community Edition might provide a solution, but MS's odd definition of "Enterprise Organization" leaves us out.

Visual Studio Community Edition now?I think revenue is a company's gross income, not their net. Even non-profit organizations require revenue to pay the salaries of their employees. How many employees can a company afford to have if they are making less than $1 million a year?
-
Visual Studio Community Edition now?Is it just me, or is there a huge gap between companies that have ~250 PCs, and companies that make in the neighborhood of $1 million in yearly revenue? Or to put it another way... what company has 249 PCs but makes less than $1 million a year? Pretty sure there should be an extra 0 or 2 on that revenue amount for the comparison to be relevant.

The quality of Apple's softwareI dealt with the same problem, at length, while upgrading from my iPhone5 to my iPhone6+. If your iTunes library is on a network location, then you are dealing with a "known" issue, at least, there are a couple of long threads on the Apple forums about it that helped me get past it (there are also multiple stories of the uselessness of Apple support). The solution for older devices is to downgrade iTunes, since this bug was apparently introduced in the latest version. For those of us with new devices, that require the latest version of iTunes (they refuse to sync with older versions), the only solution is to copy the apps folder from your network iTunes library location to a local hard drive. Then you have to remove all apps from within iTunes and re-add them from the local folder (though you may also have to tweak your settings to keep iTunes from just re-copying them back to their network location). Even then, the sync may fail for specific apps (I had 2), requiring you to delete those apps from the device to get the sync to finish. Just don't ask how much time I wasted figuring this out... and no, I won't provide my opinion Apple's software, since I don't think this forum software will allow me to use that sort of language!
