as you know, DsoFramer appeared in msdn KB articles as a sample of OLE on office applications. Latest office applications are actually not meant to be embedded. DsoFramer was declared as dead and no longer available in msdn samples. One way to embedd office applications is to load them inside web browser control and do some registry modifications to force IE to embedd office applications. I did a quick check to see what Word (V12) would do if I recorded the 'keyboard equivalent' methods as a macro, and it put this Selection.EndKey Unit:=wdStory (for Control-End, go to end of (document?) ) in the macro and this Selection.HomeKey Unit:=wdStory for Control-Home to go to the start of the (document?) My problem is solved now after some googling, thanks to this free tool[^] by Adam Najmanowicz which converts png files to 32-bit bitmaps while preserving transparency. Yeah, that's the only reason I went with 64-bit, for future RAM upgrades. Currently though I only have 3 GB anyway, which I'm finding to be plenty. In the case of that ram disk program I posted the 32-bit version can apparently use memory past 3 GB as a RAM disk even on a 32-bit OS. I've been bitten several times with apps not being 64-bit compatible however (and not just the older apps).
