There doesn't seem to exist a perfect solution to do that. Here is an article which discusses on how to do that http://www.boutell.com/newfaq/creating/backbutton.html[^]

Well, the closest I can recommend is using iframes. But please explain what exactly you are trying to do?

Looks to me as if you are a bit hurt. Cheer up

And isn't it odd that you intend to simultaneously assert that there is no objective truth, or at least that objective truth cannot be known if it does exist (which assertion is a self-contradiction), with the assertion that what you see, or choose to see, is objectively true?
What?

Of course it's not called "successor".. It's a kernel. Not in any way connected to Windows, Microsoft or anything similar.
Then how the hell did you plan on asking me to run Linux apps on Windows. Proving your stupidity with your own conclusions.

Who'd you pay for Alcohol 120%? Microsoft? Oh, what do you say? No? Not Microsoft? Well.. it's only logical to complain to the company you payed to, isn't it?
Geez.... ok fine use Vista, go and complain to all the companies with whom you have all the troubles. Vista is really troublesome when it comes to compatability. Its not just alcohol, next time, you'd probably have to go through a list before you buy anything for it, like this... http://iexbeta.com/wiki/index.php/Windows_Vista_Software_Compatibility_List[^]

No. But since, Windows XP being the immediate ancestor of Vista, I would expect it to work. All I am asking is for a better compatibility mode. :)

Why not try and install a Linux program and expect it to work?
Ever heard of WINE? Well ever wondered how Linux allows you to beautifully dual boot with any OS be it be Windows 98, Mac OS or XP or even Vista. And what's the point, Linux is not called "successor" of Windows or Windows Linux. Vista is the successor of Windows XP.
rastaVnuce wrote:
If the version you used made for Vista, or XP? (Of course, for XP) Is it compatible with Vista?
This is one more thing that puts me off. I paid for Vista and I deserve to run my old XP applications on it too. Because I paid! PERIOD

Are you even aware what causes BSOD? Or eve, what exactly it is?
To hell I care. I am a customer and I don't really give a damn. That's the point. Ok I accept, being a customer, I am a n00b. Else I would write my own OS. And sure it won't have any BSOD in it. You can't blame a customer for not knowing things like BSOD, etc. I paid for Alcohol 120% which worked in XP smoothly. And when you advertised me that Vista can run XP applications using a thing called Compatability mode, won't I expect it to run in Vista.

It works well with Windows XP, and it never complained... won't you expect it to work with the next higher version? And BSOD is Windows home made crap.

BSOD is Windows unpredictable substance and even the most respectable apps produce it at times

I can't say for sure if it is the best, but I have seen far too many Ubuntu fan boys and so, why not give it a try? I've tried fedora and OpenSUSE so far and liked both of them so far. Let me see what Ubuntu has to offer I'd be damned if I see UI like sci-fi movies. My 19inch LCD would look gorgeous then :-D

Yeah even if Windows 7 doesn't break any new grounds, I would atleast expect it to be predictable. That wasn't the case with Vista. Once when I installed Alcohol 120% in friend's laptop, it started showing BSOD every time I started it due to some driver failure. He got furious on me. From then on I decided to practise caution and read personal reviews before I touch any advanced version of Windows. Till then, I am happy with SP2 :)

For now no... but I am excited to know what Windows 7 has got to offer in its beta which of course will be discussed heavily here :) But, today I'd be installing Ubuntu Intrepid IBEX to replace my Fedora 9.

Soapbox or Longue, just feel free unwind yourself and express your opinions. When you browse threads, you will find some topics you might want to discuss so just race in and have fun ;) .

Then I don't really see much of a meaning in this. What's the point in anti protests for NO apparent reason? You can't claim a policy to be wrong. Believe me it would have undergone numerous iterations for its validity and its open for the world to see. Most Muzzies are like that world wide. They are anti to anything that is not-a-Muzzie

Personally I haven't never seen you display an extreme level of anger or hatred in the forums so don't worry ;). These are natural emotions in humans but dangerous indeed. They must be controlled before it gets worse. I would normally start playing Unreal Tournament III (or any other game that falls on my eyes) and chill as a strategy to let these go away. As long as you have a strategy to keep your mind off these feelings, you are happy

I've found Soapbox threads to go longer than Longue threads in general. For instance, take your own post and see how long it went :)
