Your code is confusing. You seem to be trying to i) output an Excel file and ii) display a DataGrid at the same time. You can't do both - your page can't return binary content and HTML at the same time. To dynamically build an Excel spreadsheet, do a search on CodeProject or Google for the JET OLE Provider. This article[^] shows how to query an Excel speadsheet using the Jet OLEDB Provider. Once you have your data in a DataTable, you can iterate through it and run INSERT queries against your SQL Server database. The code is in C# but it should be trivial to convert it to VB.NET. If your spreadsheet is particularly large, you may want to consider using DTS/SSIS to perform the import and trigger the operation from your .NET code. hi You can create a back up table and write a trigger on the original Table from which u r client is deleting data.In trigger u wite the code to insert the deleting data in to a backup table.You will get the deleted data from the table "Deleted".U can use this to insert into back up table.Dont forget to insert the datetime at which the data is deleted.. Having this Data in the Application Variable is pointless. Application_Start Event is not meant for this. This will not serve your purpose. You need to associate a certain user to the database you want to access. Using Object Explorer, Go to Security -> Login, Right click Login then select New Login, create your user account. Then on the left side, select User Mapping then put a check on the database you want to access with this user account, check everything below except the denyreader and denywriter (It's up to your preference).
