How do you take your coffee?I think we all know the best answer here... Airplane coffee

Arecibo is definitely dead now....You think it's a coincidence that it happened right after those metal monoliths started appearing? The aliens don't want us knowing what's up.

Same git client for the whole team, or dumb idea? There are no stupid questions- just stupid people. Keep that in mind as you answer my very possibly stupid question: :-D Any advantage to having the development team standardize in terms of the git client? I know they all basically do the same thing- pushes, pulls, merges, branches, etc. But is there any reason to ask all developers to use the same one (like Git GUI or Sourcetree), or is this just micromanagement with no benefit? I was just spitballing that maybe, if everyone is on the same sw and there's a problem in the client itself, it's easier to deal with, or maybe there are tiny differences which make it advantageous to keep everyone on the team using the same one? Thoughts?

The Power of NoIn English we have "The customer is always right." In Japanese they say "The customer is God."
-
The Power of NoI often work with people from other cultures (programmers, customers, etc) where NO is forbidden. It makes life more polite and unnecessarily difficult. Even if I ask something as simple as "Do you understand?" and the heads politely nod 'yes' regardless of whether they followed me or not. X|

invert if : visual studio code helperIf there's a var called part_exist, and 1 (or true) means the part does not exist, then that's not personal taste, it's just plain bad programming! The entire reason for selecting a variable name is to accurately convey the data stored within...Some day I imagine AIs will be smart enough to warn us for those type of code smells

The ridiculousness of PC hardwareNewegg is fine, but you have to be careful of some of the 3rd party stuff that sell through them. Some of those companies are not properly "vetted". Had a few bad experiences where the description doesn't match the item you get...

SSD woesI recently bought an HP. Very well constructed. Same unit at dell would've been $400 more at least.

How often do you like to compile?Looking at some of the responses, I probably should have asked "How often do you compile/test". It was really to get more insight into how often other developers stop coding to check their work.
-
How often do you like to compile? You're not concerned about dealing with a pile of bugs at once?

How often do you like to compile?Did he try clicking the mouse harder? :-D |

How often do you like to compile?Sander, I'm talking about coding vs. not coding, whether it be compiling or testing. Regards, Rob

How often do you like to compile?Someone here, I believe it was honey the codewitch, mentioned they "develop very iteratively". It made me think about styles of coding vs. debugging. Where I work, some people tend to code much more than others before compiling. I like to err on the side of caution- compiling much more often to see that what I think I did, actually worked the way I think it did. Maybe some of it is confidence in your code skills? You can certainly code more if you don't check your work every two seconds, but if you embedded a bunch of bugs, they may be hard to find if you wait too long. ...Just curious what you guys think? Is it a matter of style, or is there a right or wrong way? How often do you like to compile?

This is hard: XKCD challengeCan't beat [Hudson Hawk](www.imdb.com/title/tt0102070) if you're a Bruce Willis fan. 26% (although the audience did give it 57)
