Time dilation example -
Time dilation exampleIn accordance with lounge rules "discussing anything in a software developer's life that takes your fancy except programming questions", here's a request for feedback on a time dilation example - The movie Interstellar includes examples of time dilation. My objective is to be able to provide a simple explanation and example of time dilation. Is my link below a good time dilation example or does it require correction or more clarification? http://www.oproot.com/a/nav/if/time-dilation.html[^] To access via mobile device, go to oproot.com > experiments > time dilation example Position and time were once thought to be absolute. Newton's laws of motion discredit absolute position in space. Einstein's theory of relativity discredits absolute time. The time dilation effect comes from the nature of spacetime. Time and space are now seen as dynamic quantities with each individual particle, or planet, having its own unique measure of time depending on where and how each is moving. - The Illustrated A Brief History of Time, Stephen Hawking, Page 45 In the example link, there are 4 observers with 4 synchronized clocks. 2 observers are on the surface of the earth. 1 observer is in space above the earth. 1 observer has returned from a high-speed space mission. When regrouping the clocks are different - Observer 1 surface clock is 12:25. (O1) Observer 2 surface clock is 12:25. (O2) Astronaut 1 clock is 12:28. (A1) Astronaut 2 clock is 12:21. (A2) Extra credit question - Are there any science experiment ideas (on a budget) that can be performed to demonstrate time dilation?

Can you guys help me build one of these? -
D3.js JavaScript Library:thumbsup: Very nice! To give you an idea of how far behind the times I am, I heard about it this last week. :sigh: (sigh)

D3.js JavaScript LibrarySharing info I picked up this week with the community.. D3.js is a JavaScript library to perform W3C-compliant data visualization that contains several hundred functions. The methods can be grouped by selections, transitions, arrays, math, color, scales, SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics), time, layouts, geography, geometry, and behaviors. Extreme heat with the Solar Death RayRegarding souvenirs, I added info to the experiment that includes the PO Box. Send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the PO Box and I'll send you a partially melted nickel washer (free).

Deleted 7 or so Tips..They were listed as tips, not articles - sorry for the confusion, I updated the original post to clarify as "tips".
-
Deleted 7 or so Tips..I don't mind alarm bells and feedback.. but the snooze button was hit for 6-8 months. Some of the tips have been sitting around unedited for 6-8 months with bookmarks and high marks. Then, within the last day or two, they were suddenly edited. If it is good enough for March and May, then why edit them in November?
-
Deleted 7 or so Tips..:~ Excellent, thank you. Can you restore the previously unedited versions? My apologies if I am coming off as taking it personal, but after putting effort into publishing tips and experiments, I was unsure how they would be received by the community (positive/negative). I received positive feedback. Some of the tips have been sitting around unedited for 6-8 months with bookmarks and high marks. Then, within the last day or two, they were suddenly edited. If it is good enough for March and May, then why edit them in November?

Deleted 7 or so Tips..Nice articles.. Arduino was what I wanted to do my next articles on. :(
-
Deleted 7 or so Tips..The link is an example that the "working demo" link isn't some way of trying to promote a particular product. Within the CP articles, I had "working demo" links to show users how the code will look when it works.
-
Deleted 7 or so Tips..I have no concerns. I stated what transpired and asked the community if they have had a similar experience.
-
Deleted 7 or so Tips..The articles and content were fine. Positive feedback was received with a few bookmarks. I removed the articles because someone decided that a link to show a working demo of the code somehow creates some sort of self-promotion for a page that does not contain ads and doesn't actually sell anything.
-
Deleted 7 or so Tips..Lots of articles have links to working demos. It seems odd (and wrong) to have your article closed because of that. Thank you. To clarify, the articles were updated to have demo links removed, not closed. Otherwise, we are in agreement.
-
Deleted 7 or so Tips..No ads. Nothing to sell. On any of my domains. Example 1: -removed link-

Deleted 7 or so Tips..-- Worked out the details regarding when external links are permitted vs. not permitted and clear minds prevailed --:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Extreme heat with the Solar Death RayDone. The webpage link (not blog) has been removed. Don't take it personal? Significant effort was put into assembling the experiment, safety precautions, taking readings, taking photos, and writing up the results. If everyone does it? I thought everyone did include a "Demo of code works" link. It would be annoying not to have a Demo. X| My next projects and articles were to be geared towards Arduino experiments. It is clear that CodeProject is not the platform to share research and experiments on.

Extreme heat with the Solar Death RayDone. The webpage link (not blog) has been removed. The page existed for the sole purposes of sharing an interesting experiment with a community of like-minded developers. The page did not contain ads or sell anything. CodeProject is not the place to share experiments.
