I used to watch tons of anime, so i started using WMP, it was ok, but then switched VLC, and also was fine but i found that sometimes it just froze, never knew why. But the best i have found yet is the GOM player, plays a lot of video formats, is light weight and if you ever get a file for which you dont have the codecs to play it(it is not common to occur this) will show a message to a page where you can download the required codec.
