The Hazard of LCD MonitorsThe thing I miss the most about CRT's is the degauss function after a good magnet session.

Not a programming questionBought a second hand oxy acetylene welder. I noticed there is some oxidation on the gauges [^] (Greenish dirt) Is there any chemical way to clean them (to make the shiny again). I tried very fine sand/water paper (From P320 to P800) but it's a PITA to manually clean this way. Any ideas..? Thanks in advance. Not urgentz PS: This is on both the Acetylene and Oxygen tank gauges.

Intel DP55WG PITACouldn't find anything. I managed to fix the problem though. 2 words : Firmware update :) From what I could see the Intel Mainboard is not compatible with the processor I am using, but the firmware upgrade fixes teh problem. (I am not sure how they could get that wrong, since both are Intel) Thank god I am not a techie full time X|

Intel DP55WG PITAHi, I just got an Intel DP55WG main board. The problem is that when I switch it on, I get an 3b code. The computer doesn't even show the boot screen, hence I cannot access the BIOS. (The error code is not documented in the manual). Then the whole system restarts, and repeats until I switch off the PSU. I tried different memory modules, Gfx cards with no success. Any ideas? Thanks in advance -------------------------------- Specs : CPU : i5-650 Ram : Kingston 1333 DDR3 (4gig) GFX Card : XFX Radeon HD5750 PSU : 650 Watt

Shopping for new carsThe E92 M3 would be my choice, good around corners. Well balanced. Friend has Merc C63 AMG and that thing is scary. 0 to 250km/h comes way to quickly :~

PC trouble shooting by Chinese whispers...On your data drive you have to physically change the jumper. There should be a little diagram on the HDD case. http://attachments.techguy.org/attachments/155496d1251677239/hard-drive-jumper-.jpg[^]

PC trouble shooting by Chinese whispers...Maybe it's a jumper setting. Is the D drive set to slave?
