You really should try searching, as there's countless articles and discussous already about this topic. I myself have done a heck of a lot of both J2EE and .NET development and greatly prefer the latter (and not just because I work for Microsoft). EJB, BTW, is analogous to components in .NET. In fact, .NET is a component-oriented framework in and of itself. With Visual Studio .NET and other designers (like #develop), you can easily drag and drop components not only to build Windows Forms applications, but ASP.NET applications as well. The latter is equivalent to EJB in some respects, but a little deeper explanation that you can find by searching is necessary to see the picture more clearly. it's using administrator account, and one more, do you know how to do operation delete object, move object starting by authenticate and authorize the user first.. for example we use a username and password to do such an operation, so that whether such operation can be completed or not depends on the permissions given to given username. I found that the permissions is applied according to windows account that is currently logged on and using the program. What i want is the program itself will have its authentication & authorization independent of what account is actually used to logged on to windows. Thanks

There is no automatic adjustment for the DataGrid like there is for the ListView (not data-bindable). You must either guess at design-time, or when the DataGrid is loading, enumerate the DataGrid.TableStyles collection property, and enumerate each's GridColumnStyles collection property. Get the text and use Graphics.MeasureString using the Font property of the DataGrid. Set the current column's Width accordingly. i feel weird too, it's basically just call a function of an object when user click on a button. indeed this function deal with active directory(creating user in active directory). when i switch to call this function from mainform button, it execute just well. but when i change it to call this function from the second form(show as dialog with mainform as parent), it slow down, i have to wait 2-3 minutes to get it finish executing creating a user. so i think there is nothing wrong in the code that slow down the performance,am i right?

like the guys below say its poor when the datasets become large but for small datasets its fine. Why do you need to store this information as a session anyway? using the db will be better as its real-time.
