Not to defy conventional wisdom, but my resume is currently pushing 15 pages. For my age (25), I'm pretty highly paid and I've never had trouble getting interviews with top employers. That is with no certifications or degrees of any kind (ok, I had to get A+ certified to get my first job). I had trouble getting a job during the .com bust and the thing that saved me from 8 months of unemployment was switching from the bulleted list to a descriptive, paragraph form resume. I've never been asked to shorten it. On the web, recruiters find you based on word searches. I win because I have more words in my resume than almost anyone. Also, the jobs I get are better because the employer does actually find time to read the resume. The ones who don't are lazy and similarly hire crappy coworkers that I never want to meet. The old, bulleted list style resume is for bank managers, lawyers, store managers, etc. A technical resume is quite different. Don't listen to convetional job hunting websites/advisors because they don't realize how different our industry is. In our world, the devil is in the details.

RFID KillerThey should raise the taxes on everyone by double, then use the RFID chip as a way for people to get discounts back to the original tax rate for lower average garbage weight! Then you would make sure the chip worked rather than trying to destroy it (would be completely optional at that point).

How to speed up my XP notebook1. Set the page file to a flat size like min 2000mb max 2000mb. That way Winders don't have to try to manage it (stupid Winders). 2. Under the Performance options, set it to Adjust for Best Performance, but then check use Visual Styles on Windows and Buttons (Can't live wo/ Luna :))). 3. Remove Firefox, ITunes, Java Runtime and all other spyware/viruses.

PS3 or Wii ?Can you play Halo on either of them? Hint: No It will be at least a year before you see the full potential of the PS3 (same as it was for the 360 and any other console ever). Buy a 360 and take all the money you saved and buy a bunch of games with it. By the time good games come out for the PS3 it will probably be $200 cheaper. I want to want to buy the other consoles too, but I can't justify it. Mario Galaxy is the only thing Wii got thats cool besides Zelda: Twilight Princess, and I got that for the Gamecube (best game ever!). Go to www.gamespot.com[^] and compare the games list for each console (and the PC). Good luck, Will
