Ansi CEdit in MFC unicode dialog -
Ansi CEdit in MFC unicode dialogI have a MFC based dialog compiled with _UNICODE and all works well. Now I want to add a CEdit control and have it support Ansi text instead of unicode. That is, I want the CEdit control to accept ascii test and retrieve ascii text instead of unicode. Can this be done and if so, how?

Just when I thought windows 7 was okStrange. I just followed the instructions provided by Microsoft to install XP mode under Windows 7 and it worked great. Installed on Dell XPS portable with 2GB memory. All applications ran under XP with no problems. Runs just as fast as my standalone XP systems. Ken :)

Jokes on the News PageI sure wish "The Code Project" would hire a real joke writer to write the jokes placed in the News area. What is placed there now is really bad! Do it right, or don't do it at all. X|
