I remember reading that there is a sort of "fuse" in some CPUs that detects if it's been severely overclocked, but that's to do with warranty. It doesn't actually disable anything, just records that you pushed it hard!

I am deleting the thread in a while to avoid horfan messages getting sticked somewhere else M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Since the late '90s, I've had: Hendrik's rules of computing: 1) Make a backup 2) Make *ANOTHER* backup 2b) at least one off provider 3) *CHECK* those backups. horror stories of backups made, and then the DR/BCD site can't read the backup tapes (too old tech), or tar block sizes that wasn't standard/default/fixed, to scraping thesis of stiffies/floppies, And then when/where I had the backups in place, restoring without a beat/sweat when things gone bad

The old freeware Hyperoids changed your ship color each level. If you made it to level 16, your ship would match the background! Maybe the bullets as well. A lot harder situation with Tetris!

My experience is that the system updates the driver location every time they scan a package as being delivered. So the location on the map is where the driver last completed a delivery, but the truck is actually moving to or at the next delivery location. It may delay it by some amount or report a couple stops back to protect the driver. I live about 6 miles outside a small town. By tracking my packages I have learned the delivery route usually taken. When I see the truck at one spot on the map I can pretty much predict the next neighborhood it will move into. So much for driver protection. If I get the notification that my delivery is getting close, I can usually figure it means that it will be delivered within the next 90-120 minutes.
