Now I know where Stephen King got the idea for Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption. I’ve given up trying to be calm. However, I am open to feeling slightly less agitated. I’m begging you for the benefit of everyone, don’t be STUPID.

Its behavior has been very odd for me as well. Win10 was a much better OS here. They needed to remake the Win11 file explorer from scratch.

This could be a bear when having to decode one's work in the future. One may need to have a thought generator to reverse the process. "A little time, a little trouble, your better day" Badfinger

I thought the Lounge was supposed to be Wife-Safe. Then again, some wives are more tolerant than others. Religious freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make five.

Mycroft Holmes wrote: that got dumped into marketing. According to engineers and scientists, the Earth has come to an end, and humanity built three giant rockets to leave Earth. The first one, as the leading one, is for management and marketing : they are pioneers, the are to take the lead and show the way. The second one, is for engineers : they need to build everything up for settling the rest of the population when they follow up. The third one, a bigger one, is for the rest of the population. The first one is launched, and the management and marketing are launched into space. Then the engineers and scientists come out of the second one, and say: "- OK, they are gone, let's go back to a better life". Do not escape reality : improve reality !

My search for "help" found very few where I was threading. It seems in its architecture, MS only considers "one time" or "forever" animations. It's a bit of voodoo to get your zombies back. I'd be doing more apologizing than providing helpful advice. We'll have to see how it ends; but it is actually reducing my code base since I was starting to write my own "slaves" (before realizing it). Instead of "threads", I can feel somewhat confident about unleashing a few hundred "storyboards". "Before entering on an understanding, I have meditated for a long time, and have foreseen what might happen. It is not genius which reveals to me suddenly, secretly, what I have to say or to do in a circumstance unexpected by other people; it is reflection, it is meditation." - Napoleon I

" Quote: it's usually the focal centres on the lenses are wrong " Thanks for this advice. I had the same experience as OriginalGriff, trapezoid rectangles, for me short on the right hand side. Taking a close look I noticed that the bridge of the glasses was not central on my nose so I went back to the optician, and raised the issue discretely (I didn't want to make a spectacle of myself). After adjusting the bridge all was fine. Andy

Say what you will about the complexity of modern machines - often a fair criticism - I've noticed a LOT MORE thought goes into maintenance on say, newer vehicles than old relics. I wouldn't doubt that applies to old diesel locomotives vs the new diesel-electric pushers, for example. The latter may have more stuff to go wrong, but the stuff that commonly goes wrong is easier to get to overall. I watch a lot of classic car restoration and customization shows (anxiety precludes me from watching other sorts of television due to drama) and what I've seen from 80 year old cars - regardless of condition - would curl your hair in terms of servicing them, and that's not accounting for not being able find parts. :~ Check out my IoT graphics library here: https://honeythecodewitch.com/gfx And my IoT UI/User Experience library here: https://honeythecodewitch.com/uix

They last longest when stored at 40% of capacity. That is why everything you buy with lithium batteries comes charged to about that. Avoid storying batteries at elevated temperatures too. It is ok to freeze them, just warm them up before charging. Charging a frozen battery can destroy it.

Another example is going to bed with a performance problem on a gigantic persistent hash table and waking up with a solution that doesn't require a multi-hour table rebuild, because the hashing doesn't change.

I actually installed it without difficulty. I guess the warning message is just so they don't get support questions for it in that configuration?
