I'd wish for (in decreasing order of importance):
- Good health and a long life for myself, my loved ones and my friends
- A balanced lifestyle
- A substantial supply of cash so that I'd never have to work for someone else, and would be able to concentrate on teaching, helping other developers and writing high-quality free software
- A flat screen TV
- A restored daily-driver antique

I would book all the first class seats for all flights everywhere, and allow anyone who is a software developer to move from stinky cramped coach seats into the first class seats for free!

don't know, maybe 10%-15% less timid, always have a $50 in my wallet and 10% less body fat ... I don't believe that I need that much to make my life better, I have a good job, good appartment ( unless I really get screwed by my current situation ), good friends and familly.

I agree. I've heard several people say that if they won the lottery they would keep on working at their jobs. Personally, I think that's a load of crap. We don't like to be bored, but why would you work for someone else?

I imagine that those two conditions work well together. You can keep avoiding the effort required to get a higher paying job and promotion, which should assuage your fear of getting a higher paying job and promotion!! :-D

I had this huge list, then I reread your question, what would make MY life better. A lot of things could have a minor impact on my life, but I'll ignore things that have a secondary effect. So, here's the shorter list, as I'm pretty happy with my life: My girlfriend has some health concerns that would be great if she didn't have. It doesn't necessarily impact my life, but my first concern is with her well being.
