You can get to Blogspot using :- http://www.inblogs.net/[^] or http://www.pkblogs.com/[^] I like it how they've grouped India with Pak, China, and Iran :- Is your blog blocked in India, Pakistan, Iran or China? Cannot blame them. With this sort of foolish internet censorship,we are going the China route :sigh: Regards, Nish

It will be OK if we are finally able to turn Indians into hard-working automatons like the Chinese have done with their population. But I am afraid that Internet censorship will be used only to filter out ideas and thoughts that the government doesn't want its citizens to read and to make all of India into your home state of Kerala, where everyone will be more leftwing than Karl Marx or Mao Tse Tung. I think you IT guys need to fulfill the government's wish: Organize unions, go on strike, and have the Americans move their IT business to China. Then, like factory workers in India, you can also starve.

That really is dreadful. That list is not good company. Hopefully, your leaders will recant. You would think the technology sector in India had a bit of political weight by now. Ryan

Not everyone in Kerala is left-wing. Problem is, outside of the Congress, the Marxist party is the only other alternative. A quasi-communal religion-based party like the BJP will never be accepted by Keralites.

Uhm, I don't see how this inference (that the govt wants IT people to go into a strike) was made from Internet censorship. :~ Btw, are you of Indian origin? Regards, Nish

The govt has made a similarly stupid decision a couple of years ago when they banned the entire YahooGroups domain because "1" group had anti-India propaganda. The end-result was that, that particular group which probably received less than 10 visitors a day, got hit by 100 of 1000s of views via proxy servers :-) Regards, Nish

Generally it's not; we enjoy a lot of freedom. However, the Govt is full of idiots and sometimes goofs up like this. X| You can freely criticize the Govt and its policies. But if you make anti-national statements or abuse religions*, you might get into trouble. * Actually, you can get away with abusing Hinduism (the Chief Minister of the state I live in regularly does) but if you criticize Islam or Christianity you will be denounced, and probably arrested and prosecuted. Cheers, Vikram.

But I know. I cant understand why do you get surprised with Congress Government's such decisions every time. It is their policy to make a maximum misuse of power. There are plenty of examples that Congress has taken such decisions against organizations, instutions, students, etc. whenever they have opened their mouth against their one sided policy. Cant you recall Emergency! This is the only problem with world's so called largest democracy that you have no freedom to speak. Really it is surprising that you dont know... X| Regards, Ketan.
