Then He send His own son to die on cross for our sin? If our sin is no longer existed, why aren't we in Heaven now? The more I read the bible, the more it doesn't make sense. If you're trying to understand your Faith and your relationship with God, my advice would be to first read the Gospels and Acts. The basic premise of Christianity is faith. A simple belief in God, and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and died for our sins. Simple in theory, difficult in practise.

Nobody but God alone can answer that. Nobody knows how God thinks or why he does what he does. Most Christians generally accept that he created the earth for his pleasure. He allows us to suffer the consequences of the choices that we make. To do anything else would not be love, and God is Love. This one is yours. I can't do this by myself. I trust you to look after it", and then just get on with life and let Him do what He thinks is best. Trust me, it works. I came perilously close to suicide (less than 30mins) before I realised this, and that was only with the help of an awesome friend. God doesn't want us to suffer, but uses hardship to grow us and make us depend more on Him.

Actually, Genesis is a book of history, not stories, and was written by one person - Moses. He wrote the first five books of the Bible - Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy and Numbers.

And I say that as an Agnostic Christian, dispite the cognizant dissonance this might generate in you. Jesus' entire message was that we are all sons and daughters of God. That's it. The fatherhood of God coupled with the Brotherhood of Man/Woman. Get it straight. Only one thing is required. Faith. That's it. Also, his was the message of the Kingdom of God. The spiritual kingdom that includes everyone and is here now. That's the Good News. He waited til John the Baptist died before beginning as John was the one preaching the message of repentence. Upon that platform he spread the new message of the Good News. Fatherhood and Brotherhood. He never preached any religion based on his resurrection. That was first Peter, and then Paul. They changed the religion from one of Jesus to one about Jesus. So, no. You can't stop being a child of God, you can only forget. And it is this forgetting that generates the results of "the wages of sin is death" as Sin is the knowing attitude against God. So you drive yourself away. Most of those quotes are from the old testament and a result of the Jewish attitude during captivity in Babylon. That's it. ...and there are many out there trying hard to build a room that will fit there. Some even rewrote the Bible to their own taste. I will make it short, Peter was assigned a job and he did it, so was Paul. They did not come on their own and claimed to have PhD in religion.
