I am pretty sure that at one point (may still do) that they did make a six foot (can't remember the actual size) sandwich for parties, etc.

Just now, I went for lunch at Subway for the first time. I was shock at the number of questions i have to answer to order my meal. I am used to those mc donalds style where i just need to tell them what meal i want. Instead in Subway, i need to tell them what type of sandwich, size, toppings, etc. And thats not he end, before paying i still need to tell them whether i want to trade chips for cookies. wth!! I just want a meal.:mad:

Sounds like somebody would be more happy with a jar of McProtein pills and not have to worry thinking about food any more. Either that or set up an old computer and modem with a voice synth so that it will randomly dial a takeaway for you, and place an order without you having to worry about what it is you actually want. (Or just move back in with your Mom!)

I wouldn't go that far, SubWay makes a pretty good sandwhich built to your specifications. You just have to know what you want before you go in. I admit, I rarely go to SubWay, and rarely know what I want when I go in, so I get the typical teenager "Are you retarded" look.

On the funny side, i overheard one lady's order. When the staff asked her about the size of the sandwich she wants, (I think she must be distracted or its her first time) she said 6 feet. LMAO. :laugh:
:-D I just did that last week. As was said already, they do make 6' sandwiches, but I was torn between getting a 6" or a foot long and ordered the 6 foot sandwich. My buddy looked at me and said, "Err.. ya a little hungry, B?" As far as having the options, I don't see the problem. It's just a sandwich and your topping options are pretty standard and right in front of you. The bread and meat typically sucks, though so I'll go Quiznos or just buy my own stuff at the grocery store.

Depends on who’s working the local subway, I often grunt / point and the female clerk just makes what is in the picture for me. :) I don’t go to Subway all that often as I think Jimmy Johns and Quizno’s make a much better sandwich.

I love Subway because they ask Do you want this or that? Which of these would you like? Do you want it toasted? What type of bread do you want? etc. I can taylor the sandwich to exactly the way I want it. Brilliant!

I guess I am odd... I don't want a house pre-packaged and a clone of everyone else's, I want to choose my own components to a computer, I want the car that I want, not the car that everyone else wants, and I want the meal the way I want it. If you go to a restaurant they will ask you how you want your steak cooked... baked potato, rice or fries? wheat or white roll? These are things I guess I am just accustomed to, I guess I just tend to minimize the #2 combo bins.... :-D

Is that when I go to Quiznos they try to dictate to me the order in which I should order my sandwhich. I want a Large Traditional on Wheat w/mayo instead of ranch, no onions, no olives, togo. Why? It's healthier and tastes a whole heap better than most fast food places. And you actually get to choose what you want for lunch, rather than having the choice made for you. What's so bad about that?
