    P4 1.7GHz with 256 MB RDRAM with GeForce2 GTS Vid Card. 40 Gig HD and a SBLive Sound Card.         i'm not sure it improves the build process by itself (i don't know if the compiler is multi-threaded at all, or enough to matter), but i can easily build and surf at the same time with no lag! -c

          Chris, I understand the theory of dual-CPU systems, but in practice, how's the dual-CPU setup doing with development tasks? Worth it?

          Sometimes you catch interesting bugs in multithreaded code ... I have seen that multithreaded bugs tend to showup faster on multi-processor machines. :) Thomas

                  At the office: Pentium 233MHz w/ 8MB RAM, 4GB HDD, 15" monitor, running Win95 original release. At home: P4 1.8GHz, 512MB RAM, 60GB HDD, 15" monitor,running Windows 2000 Server, SP2.

                            AFAIK: Compaq X| DeskPro, 866Mhz X| 512RAM:) 36GB HDD, and PanaSync S110 21":-D :-D :-D :-D monitor. (sorry Nish!) :) WinNT (only because they haven't got around to giving me 2k yet, stupid IST).
