    I dunno - I play games on a real computer, not some hack hardware that Microsoft decided to crap out in order to dominate yet another market... :)

      He's a geek that hangs out here who stalks women that aren't aware he's even alive. He's probably got so little pigment in his skin that he's almost translucent. He lives on a diet of Twinkies, Cheesie Poofs, Jolt Kola, and unrequited love. His favorite web site right now is YouTube.com because he can live vicariously through the video productions of complete strangers (quite often at the same level of loser-dom as he is). He continually posts drivel about how he's going to do this or that to win a given womans heart, despite the fact that the woman either doesn't know he's alive, or does know he's alive but has paired that info with a restraining order. He once drove a whore to Boise so she could hook up with another guy, but he has never mentioned how that turned out (not that anyone here really cares). The last couple of threads I started are the result of his first response to anything I post to/about him in the last six months. I mean seriously, he's severely under-developed where trading insults is concerned. Just do a search for Link2006 and revel in the plethora of smegma he posts. He's not really disliked, but his constant whining is enough to drive even the most stable among us (that would be me) stark raving mad. And that, dear sir, is Link2006. (I've also heard it's a patch for the MFC CListCtrl.)

            Ouch. I've had one called "The Legend of the Foreigner" that was all about time travel and it's complexities I wanted to make since I was a wee lad.             You do realize that most games take a year or two with a team of programmers right? Actually my games still haven't been done. One came close. But the ideas I came up with are still unique. I just got caught up with live visualization/simulation without the plot. ;)

                Of course I know that. ;P That's why I'm trying to keep the story relatively short and thinking of ways to cut corners (buying prebuilt objects like trees, doing hoodoo-voodoo chants, etc.). But I fully expect it to take a good while nonetheless. I guess I should be more specific though. That timeframe mentioned would be after my library is finished. A year may be more realistic considering it's also a learning process (but I used "or more" to cover my backside hehe).                   I've considered that I'm either bored or simply apathetic towards meandering speeches containing immense words woven so closely within the context of the current dialogue. However, our hero has inspired me, and I therefore acquiesce to his challenge of vitriolic reparté. Still, he pursues a cowards's course in that he refuses to participate once the gauntlet is returned in kind. The last fair maiden that recieved words such as these became smitten with me. Nay, and I should expect the same surrender from one so lovely as yourself, for I am already smitten by thee. :) Man, how did people get anything done back then?                       here's something else to keep you busy then. :-D http://www.creativitybootcamp.com/resources.htm[^] if you and your girlfriend ever get up the money.... visit the Game Designer's Conference. It will pay for itself in quality in your own work. Don't go just to look, go to learn, hit it hard with heavy class load for a week. You'd be surprised at what you can learn. and you get to hear crazy people like me prattle on about their accomplishments and problems encountered, plus bounce some ideas off them. I remember my conversation with the Niniane Wang who developed the cloud rendering technique for one of the Microsoft Flight simulators.... Discussing an imposter ring for distant clouds she said you could deliberately position the imposter ring in front or behind any mountains to make it more realistic... I asked what if you wanted them both locations because of multiple mountain ranges. She looked at me with a confused look and said, "where do you live?" then we discussed the idea of multiple imposter rings. Of course the difficulty being choosing the fewest possible so that you do not loose the performance gains of imposter rendering.... Nice lady.

                                I already have the phone number. Evidently someone found Link wandering around his neighborhood wearing a bicycle helmet (in case he fell and hit his head). On the helment was one of those medical info stickers that provided his home phone number in case someone found him wandering around without supervision. Instead of calling the number, they posted it on the internet. Of course the story took a bit of a nasty turn when someone called and told Link that he was Link's father, and that the guy that was sharing his mother's bed was... waitaminit, this is getting out of hand... Forget I said anything. No, really. And put that camera away...
