Yes. And not because it was obvious from context either. :) Regarding your original question, I've been lucky enough to avoid any webdev work, and don't know asp.net.

Have you ever counted the number of 'javascript' questions that flood that forum?:((

Try improving your reading comprehension skills. This is about CP's asp.net forum, not about where else to try to get help.

I use ASP.NET just enough to get by. I'm fairly handy with C#, and can certainly hold my own in HTML / JS coding, but ASP.NET questions tend to be... well, let's look at what's on the first page of the forum:

              • ReportViewer question.
              • Javascript question.
              • CrystalReports question
              • GridView question.
              • SQL or possibly VB question.
              • IIS question.
              • Pivot table question.
              • TreeView question.
              • HTTP question.
              • DetailsView question.
              • 2 Basic ASP.NET questions.
              • 2 HTML questions.
              • 8 Stupid questions.

Of these, i'd have a shot at being able to answer maybe four of them, and of those, maybe one is at all interesting. The rest deal with components i've either never used or hope to never use again. Or are just plain stupid. So yeah. I ignore the ASP.NET forum. On those rare occasions i feel like answering questions, i hit the C++ or Web Dev forums, since there's at least a chance there that i'll find an interesting question on the first page.

every night, i kneel at the foot of my bed and thank the Great Overseeing Politicians for protecting my freedoms by reducing their number, as if they were deer in a state park. -- Chris Losinger, Online Poker Players?

I just posted a message in the ASP.Net forum, but that's not what this topic is about. I'm just slightly amazed that so many questions go un-answered in the forum. Are you guys too busy trying to figure out your own problems with .Net, or do you not feel so charitable where sharing expertise is concerned. The C++ forum, by contrast, is full of people willing to try to help. I thought the majority here had an unnaturally high level of carnal love for .Net and ASP...

:) I don't know why it popped into my head at the time. If I recall correctly, that's one I learned back in the days when I was studying for SAT exams. X|

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. - Aristotle

Are you actually this stupid on purpose, or do you save up your idiocy for your lounge posts?
